Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Overall curriculum is not so tough there are 2 major exams held every year so a person has a option to choose 8-10 subjects for examination at a time. Regardless the teaching pattern is not so relevant which pushes students to look for other means for their preparation be it previous year questions or YouTube videos.

Fees and Financial Aid

The overall fee structure varies from course to course but it hardly ranges from a minimum of 5000 per year to 12000 per year Also there is not much scholarship programmes in ignou Another aspect is campus employment which is the weakest point when it comes to ignou here the average package is only about 2-3 lakhs

Campus Life

3

Weekends can be a great time in ignou as you can perform various extracurricular activities be it sports workshops seminars and more. Ignou also organizes events for students to show their talents in various fields so one can also take part in it.

Admission

To enroll in ignou one must have clear 12th from their respective boards. Also the application process is very easy you just need to put your basic details and your marks in previous classes and the course which you want to opt get a admission in ignou. Exams are held twice a year where the timing are usually 3 hours for one single subject Only improvement in admission process which i can think of is that ignou should provide more subjects to choose from while enrolling in a course

Faculty

0.5

The overall faculty is satisfactory the curriculum is relevant and not so tough however the passing percentage is still 40% the reason behind this is that the faculties of ignou doesn't provide a interactive mean to score enough in exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for the Bachelor of Science General is decent but surely needs to be improved in terms of including relevant technological developments. The course can include more practical activities, majorly inside the laboratory for a better understanding of complex science concepts. The frequency of exams are comfortable and give ample time to students to prepare for their exams. Exam diffculty range between moderate to difficult, and easy at times.

For statistics IT companies like Dell, Wirpo and others have job offers and roles. 4-5 lakhs is what we were offered and get easily too. For a student getting graduated in just 60k, getting 10x of it as initial placement, nothing more can be asked for.

Honestly I know Zoology course placements aren't much. It's a research based course and therefore if we are hired by some researchers we might get a job worth 30-40k in hand. However, for other courses the placements at our college are great.
