The compititive nature between the students to excel not just academically but in all aspects
The indoor stadium has so many facilities.
The mall has many shops so you can buy anything as per need

Dislikes

The attendance criteria that everyone is awarded marks based on attendance
No facilities for non vegetarians inside the campus
Faculties are not upto doctorate level of qualifications

Course Curriculum Overview

Computer science basically had both theory and practical subjects and classes that were helpful in learning the subject . Although some subject need an upgrade . Mostly we had mid terms and end term schedule after 7 weeks and 15 weeks of semester

Internships Opportunities

From Amazon offering 1lakh per.month to various start ups like playsimplegames , move in sync offering 50 thousand and infineon and wisson also offering 40 thousand there are many companies coming and offering these stipends

Placement Experience

For btech computer science internship were reachable by end of 5 semester but the main placement starts from 6 th semester and continuing upto 8 th semester. One student can apply as many companies as he wishes both on campus and office campus highest package was 64 lakh while average is 6 lakh around 95 percent placement registrated students get placed

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided based on the LPUNEST exam scores the base tution fees is around 120000 but after scholarship it can come to upto 60000 based on the scholarship and for international students it is more affordable

Campus Life

One India ,one world are two of the annual events that takes place and student can enjoy the beauty of these events as they wish and also participate and win the team events in field of arts and crafts

Hostel Facilities

Online registration of hostel is done based on room you choose the amount you have to pay you have options like 4,3,2,1 seater and also apartment with ac and cooler options. Food is fine but the hostel fees is bit high

Admission

After completing your high school and senior secondary from the stream you can apply to Lpu to the field of your desires then LPUNEST you can give for one registration you can give upto 2 or 3 attempts and best scores will be considered LPUNEST can be given from start of July upto October

Faculty

The faculties would normally have 3 to 4 classes per day while we students had upto 6 to 7 classes per day . Faculties would generally teach from the PowerPoint presentations that the HOD has provided for all teachers of the domain and sometimes from their personal notes also they were reachable .

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

Dislikes

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii
Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

LPU's REVIEW WITH HONESTY AND CREDIBILITY
