Likes

University main campus and engineering college campus are however separated by a distance of 2km still accessablity to 24/7 library in uni.
Tution Fee and hostal fee are pocket friendly

Dislikes

Faculty here is majority contractual based.But with good teaching skills
Institute is not effective in improving skills of students by providing industrial level of skill development cources or workshops

Course Curriculum Overview

Exams are not much difficult I can say they provide easy to mid level paper in major semister exams how ever internal evaluation is a bit tough than semister exams done by University of Kashmir.overall I can say examination are not tough to quality.

Fees and Financial Aid

i have not seen any fee hike from my day of joining i have paid almost 200k for my college tution fee till now . so by this i can say we have no fee hikes throught our journey of four years. However at day of admission for degree their my increased fee form prevous batches and that too is not obesevable. we Have to pay 30k for hostal fee for a year .

Campus Life

Their is no such clubs and students union. Annual festival is conducted in month of june in which cultural programs and other activities are performed .library facility is provided to students university of kashmir has famous and huge library service in kashmir

Hostel Facilities

hostal food i good and they provide good quality .the menu is framed by students and a combination of veg and non veg food is delicious and i feel completly safe there and i enjoy being there talking about faculty thay are also very very good .

Hostel Fee: INR 26000 per year

Admission

eligiblity of cource - you should have a valid 12th standard qualifying document . selection for sources depends on your JEE score and cutoff finilised by respective deparments. reservation for students is allowded as per university crietria . admission process is however simple and smooth

Professors are good at teaching and approachable and dedicated to guiding students. We can anytime approach to faculty we are free to go. This accessibility fosters a positive learning environment where students can flourish teacher to student ratio of our campus

Good things is that they offer minor courses for us where we can choose extra courses which we may find interesting and yaa not only that interdepartment projects can also be chosen which is very strange but don't seems relevant.curriculum earlier they were following of iit Delhi and new curriculum is not very exact and relevant because sometimes there are some unnecessary courses and no point of learning that course which forcefully imposed on us to take this course as it comes under institute department courses and are mandatory which is not so good

Placement Experience:

I think the students become eligible for placements after 6 th semester, if you are from CS / IT then you'll get enough opportunities for yourself... I know 8-9 seniors who have grabbed a pretty decent package from companies like Oracle If somehow you fail to get recruited on campus then i guess the off campus option is open for all I am pretty satisfied with the placement record atleast for IT The percentage placement for this year CSE was 51 considering recession part this seems good to me

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

I didn't apply for other college but i had opportunities while councelling, I might go in other universities like baba ghulam shah baadshah university in my own district rajouri but the reason of rejecting that university because fee was very high there.Otherwise my opinion about that university is also amazing.I didn't get any rejection from any college.
