GCOEARA : A students perspective

it offere strong base in programming languages and computer architecture . the curriculum not always cover all latest technologies syllabus is quite outdated . there are 2 exams per semested first we have insem and then endsem

Some companies do visit are college like tcs , capgemini and stratups but placment rate is really poor only few student get placment and the average package is of 1.5-2.5 lpa and highest is of 12lpa . and most of mechanical and instrumentation students got placed this year . the computer department has very few placment this year and most of placments are offcampus also most of students go for mba or masters some prepare for goverment exams and some search for job

the tuition fee is very less it only 25000 per year again it vary occording to cast like for obc its around 5500 and for general-ebc it is 17663 like this the only goverment scholarships where available like mahadbt - chatrapati rajashri shahu maharaj and all also the goverment hostel is also available for boys and girls with limited accomodation based on merit and it cost around 1100 per year for regular and 5500 for statt quater as staff quater is also converted into hostel the complete cost of education here is almost 200000 including all costs of four years , no campus employment is available

the campus do not held to many technical events ony 1or2 technical events happen per year and thos also arrange by students from particular club , the college do have library and you can access books from library on week basis also college has civil servises books available and student club , college has so many student clubs like robocon and all who participates in different compitations , the classroom of college is not so well devloped its a normal basic classroom no advanced fetures are avilable and also college has sport compitations and sport club also annual function and some day where happed per year

the college has hostel facilities it has regular hostel and also staff quater is converted into hostel the fee structure vary for staff and regular the regular has fee 1100 per year and staff has 5500 per year the hostel has 4 beds and cupbards in one room so , single room provide accomodation for 4 people the hostel facility is quite good also mess is there has fee stucture according to mess quantract per month and addmission in hostel take place based on merit , also there are so many private hostels and pg's where available having different fee stucture

The eligibility for course is 12 th with MHTCET score the cutoff vary it is 80 percentile last year for computer engineering all application from and dates where available on MHTCET addmission portal , the addmissions only based on mhtcet score and only happes through mhtcet portal the normal reservations are available like tfws and ews and cast wise reservation in cutoff. the addmission process is very easy so no need of improvment

the faculty count is very less as compared to student count also most of the visiting staff is available at campus. the faculty is not so active in teaching and mentorship again its vary according to department , some department even do not have regular lectures . also teacher and student interaction is very rare only during practicals and cheaking , but it vary according to department some departments have really good student - faculty intraction and great learning experience
