Course Curriculum Overview :

This course Civil Engineering is not opted by most of the students now a days due to low opportunities . So job oriented curriculum must be included. Text book study and material based exams must be avoided.

Class Size : 43Course Fees : INR 144000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

TCS , shoba group,etc provides internship opportunities in Adi Shankara college of engineering. But for civil engineering student , these opportunities are ver less. We have to find our own internships.

Placement Experience :

Student placement recruitment are provided form S6 semester. But all departments do not get this opportunities. Most of the students with this are the computer science students . Civil and Mechanical students don't get these opportunities always.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

My fee as an NRI student is 144000 rs .On than union fee 1500 rs. Exam fee 5000 rs . Annual fees 137500 rs. Several scholarships are given based on Keam entrance score , minority base, +2 qualification marks while admission.

Campus Life :

Adi Shankara college is very poor in Social aspects. Live interaction of students are limited. Club involvements only fo r educational purposes are only held. Cultural events and technical fest are minimal.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility are average. But the food provided are very poor. Only vegetarian food is available. Not only that we can't chose favourite meal menu. Hostel registration are opted while we take admission .

Hostel Fee : INR 16500 per year

Admission :

I took part in KEAM exam but, didn't score much in exam. So i took in as NRI student. Admission process was not complicated. Application forms were given from offices and after filling it with our qualifications, I was interviewed by HOD of department and was admitted to the course.

Faculty :

Faculty to students ratio are acceptable, 1:3. Adi Shankara college recruites experienced faculty. The faculty's helps in gaining credits and experience in laboratory sections also. They interact with us frequently, But don't promote us in other ways like cultural and other activities and fests.

Campus is choosen wisely

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually the university curriculum is bit old fasion.Like the technology is a way head of the things that we are studying in the sessions.But the basis are well learned from it.The improvement we need in that is that to get out of the instituion as a proffesional that can handle the new technolgy that the real world work in.The curriculum is need to improve so much as per the technology improves the students want to know what all changes that are happening in the real world and they want to be trained according to that.

My Journey at MITS

Placement Experience:

Our campus placement will begin from 7th semester. From 5th semester onwards college will provide training for placements and we have placement cell for this. An average LPA of 5 is provided from our college. Good amount of companies visit our campus for placement and we also get oppertunity to go for off campus placement

Placement Experience:

In the 7th and 8th semesters, the students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys, and Spyridian, are the companies that often come for placements .3 -4 lakhs is the highest package given by these companies.The percentage of students getting placement is about 50-70. My plan is to go for higher studies or to go for a job.

SEEING STCET THROUGH MY VISION

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards we could attend placement interviews and many companies used to approach our college but mostly IT companies as I was in civil dept the construction companies were very less or NIL. In our batch, most of the students got placed and many offer letters but the only disadvantage was the offers were not from the core companies.
