Campus life is amazing at BMSCE as classes are almost full because attendance is strict.
After a full day of hectic schedule BMSCE students are seen unwinding at college cafes with their groups and the atmosphere turns lively at night time.

Course Curriculum Overview

The reason why BMSCE is top colleges is because they keep advancing their syllabus as per industry needs and the demands of the world. Engineering here is seen as a solution and we are made to prepare accordingly. Exams happen twice in one semester and then we have internals and tests happening every month.

Placement Experience

All my seniors who enter the final year gets eligible for placements. Students have to do internships and their performances are evaluated and soft skills are developed at the campus and then the students are asked to apply accordingly. Top IT companies such as IBM, Microsoft, Infosys and others have hired a number of students from our college and continue to do so every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is alright as there are many scholarships and not just for students from SC/ST but those who do well in entrance and are under Economically Weaker Sections of the society get hands on scholarships. My entire will be around 10 lakhs as I am currently playing 2.5 lakhs a year.

Campus Life

We have two main fests and they are Phaseshift which is a technical fest and then we have an annual cultural fest called Utsav. We have a humongous indoor stadium and college has sports team of various sports like Karate, Football, and Cricket and there's a playground where students are often seen playing sports of their choices.

Admission

KCET is must for students from Karnataka and that is how students are admitted here. The cut off varies from students of general category to students of lower class. Admissions are easy peasy here as once the entrance results are out one can apply and check the cut-off for each branch at BMSCE.

Faculty

Our branch has maximum concentration of students and hence faculties assigned to our branch are also the highest. The faculties have bridged the gap between students in such a way that we can interact with them whenever we want. Faculties are always open if we needs to have an extra lecture on a particular topic.

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Experience at new horizon.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards students are eligible for the placement. Alots of companies like VISA,IBM,Accenture etc2 visited our college. The highest package recorded as of 2023 was from VISA offering 32.2 lakhs. 90 percent of the students get placed. After I get my degree I will work for awhile in the corporate world and starting up my own business on the side.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.

The college placements are pretty good and provide an average of 6lpa for the students. There are lot of IT companies visit to oyr college but there are no opportunities for the courses other than IT related branches. Students become eligible after their 6th semester in the academics.

BMS College of Engineering - Review

Had applied for BIRLA institute of technology as well as MSRIT, but BIRLA was a bit too expensive based on fees for my liking and MSRIT was a back up option. BMSCE is an old and reputed college, dating back the 1950's, also being one of the oldest private colleges in the country. So getting admission here made it a no-brainer option to go for. BMSCE - A Clean Perspective into the Oldest Private Eng College in India

I applied to colleges like RVCE, DSCE, BITS, PES and MS Ramaiah but I was rejected by RVCE and BITS due to cutoffs. Among the others, I felt like BMS was the best option and my opinion on that has not changed. Admission process through COMEDK was straightforward. After locking ny seat, I had to report to the college, fill in the paperwork and pay the misc fees. That was all.
