The review.

Mechanical engineering is a course that I was not much interested in. However CSR here is quite good and has good placement There are many labs that help the students to apply the theorotical knowledge to practical level. The course can be improved by providing better placement and internship oppurtunities for the students The exams are conducted frequently. Before the end sem exams we have 2 mid term exams. The internal exams are not that difficult hkwever the end term exams have moderate to high difficulty level

Placement depens on branch you are in. Computer science has excellent placement and almost 90% students gets placed where in case of other branches it is also good but in case of core branches like civil or mechanical placement are less in core areas but you can try in nom tech or can go for competetive examination since no of jobs of these bramches are more in government sector.

The affordability of this university is one of its greatest qualities. Btech is a professional course however it is quite cheap as compared to other top government or privates colleges in the rest of the country The annual fees is just 16k including all the charges. The university provides hostel facilities that are also quite cheap however the no of hostels is less. The university also provides various scholarships for the economally backwards section and help aid their education

It has a diverse student body having students from all over the country even from outside the country. Hence is offers diversity and oppurtunity to interact with people from different environment There are many clubs and socigies actively working like IEEE, GDSC, TRS, ASME and many more. Frequesnt fests are organised and a large annual fest called zephyr is organised by multiple societies. Various social groups here are also active that actively participate in protests against wrong laws of govt. The sports however are not much paid attention to. But other curricular activities are greatly done

The eligiblity criteria for admission into btech is through JEE. Minimum 65% marks are required in 12th standard to be eligible for admission. There is 50% reservation for the muslim students out of which 10% is for muslim women, 10% is for muslim obc and rest 30% is for general muslim. There is also reservation for internal students. I had muslim women quota I got admission in mechanical engineering at 87.2 percentile. The cutoff for muslim category and general category is much high compared to muslim women or jamia internal.

The faculty is outstanding and experienced here as getting a job as a professor in jamia milia islamia is harder nut to crack than getting admission here. It has a healthy faculty to student ratio that makes sure that students get their questions answered from the teacher. Interactive sessions are there.
