Course Curriculum Overview
As to why i choose chemical engineering the curriculum here is highly core centric which actually helps us train what the real world companies needs in the highly qualified employees. the curriculum sometimes becomes very hectic resulting in stressful situations and dipression. the exams here are quite often and hold some certain amount of weightage according to the professor
Internships Opportunities
internship here are a bit difficult to get with the help of institute as you have to maintain an high cpi cumulative percent index and your chances of getting an internship is 1 in 3 but this is the case for college offered you can still apply for off campus offers.
Placement Experience
placements here are quite well and for the course i have enrolled we are expected to get an batch average of about 20 lakh. you are allowed to sit once for the placement from the institute that is managed by student-run committee called spo or student palcement office.
Fees and Financial Aid
tution fees is around 100000 per semester the hostel charges including the mess establishment and the medical insurance is around 16000 per semester apart for this you are charged around 3000 per month for mess fees. there are a bunch of sponsorships thats aids people with financial crisis
Campus Life
the campus life is great here its always active and people here are always doing something personally i have intrest in motorsports thus i have joined that club and here i work on learning the true engineering behind the making of a vehicle
Hostel Facilities
hostel facilities here are decent the rooms are a liitle cramped for the first and the second year students but it get better for the 3rd year and 4th year student getting single rooms. the food qulaity here is decent for what mess food provides everywhere else its great .
Admission
the eligibity criteria was straight forward you are suppose to give the jee mains exam qualify that and then pass the jee advance the rank you get in the jee advance helps you get the course, for my course all india rank of around 3000 to 4000 is needed.
Faculty
The faculty to student ration is good in iit kanpur around 1:10 which plays a huge impact as it helps students to easily approach proffesors. The faculty here are very well qualified and usually have a basic approach towards teaching to mentor each student properly. I personally often interact with faculty
