Course Curriculum Overview
I Initially choose the course because I wanted to get into the college but all this turned out great for me. My course has this subject call ethics thus it not only prepare us to be a better human but also helps in UPSC civil service examination as we have 2 essay on the same topic. The subject is not that difficult but yes hard core Philosophy is hard to understand , it is much harder than studying history, political science etc.
Internships Opportunities
Famous companies like zomato, amazon etc come to our college for placements. You can apply for different posts like HR, content writer , social media manager etc., I did not apply for any internships Because I was interested in corporate life.
Fees and Financial Aid
My college is a government college so it was very much affordable. I hardly spent 50k including examination for my entire degree. Their were free ships and scholarships that were available for students which do have a criteria ( you need to maintain your cgpa). As I wanted to continue with my Studies so I didn't sit for the college placements.
Campus Life
My college have alot of societies that you can enroll in, for example: drama society , dance society, etc., We have this very famous de wali mela called noor every year and a very famous fest in the month of march every year. You can almost find every book and even if you cannot find it , it can be arranged by the faculty there in some time. Almost every classroom have projectors and we also have different labs. The sports life is great , you have this nso period every morning 7:30-8:30 when you can play and we also have inter college sports fest also every year. Apart from college there are different clubs that students run. Chehel is my favourite one , in which students of lsr teach small underprivileged children of zamrudpur ( a place near lsr) after the college hours
Admission
Earlier it was merit based ,but now we have a exam called cuet for entering into du colleges. Everything can be done online. This exam is quite easy so you have high chances of getting into a good college. You have reservations too as per the laws. The management for conducting exams is not so good right now but I think it is improving every year.
Faculty
We have a great faculty in lsr. Most of them have already completed their phd degrees and are professionals in the subjects They are teaching. Apart from the regular classes we used to have tutorials in college that helps us to interact with our professors more efficiently because the strength of the tutorials is 1/4 tge strength of the class.
