Course Curriculum Overview

4

When I talk about courses igonu is the place where anyone can opt for any course without any restrictions and there ate no. Of courses including diploma, certificate and degrees. As I opted for Masters of English here I received well setup of books and designed by IGNOU itself, all the topics and chapters are relevant and equally important part of the course. The pattern of the book is very simple and easy to understand as every topic has sub topics to understand through pointers. Yes if I talk about improvement the topic should not be so much lengthy in explaining same thing again and again, it should be point to point knowledge. The examinations are divided into semesters are subjects will be 4 to 8 depends upon the credit we are selecting for the subject. Duration of the examinations will be 3 hours if we select a subject of 8 credit. Thetiming of the examinations is very sufficient for the question paper.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fess structure of IGNOU is very affordable that's totally true. If someone is lacking in part of money in very less amount the student can study and complete his desires. There will be cost of course including books and books are optional and at the time of examinations, exam fee will be there 200 rs per subject and at last for your degree certificate there will be convocation and fees of 600rs Total if talk about Masters of 2 years 20000rs is enough including everything. Campus placement are very less , if available not at very high post but something like Customer care executive or representative and salary can 2 to 3 lac. Per annum.

Campus Life

4

Being a open university that much activities and sports are not there. ONLY weekend classes on Saturdays and Sundays apart form that there is Conovocation ceremony at the time of distribution of certificates with great respect and honor. But yes student union are there to run social groups and connection for placement and knowledge.

Admission

Basic eligibility of every course is you should be passed your last degree with atleast 50% of marks Reservationfacilities are there but never availed so don'tknow about it much. The difficulty level of the examinations totally depends on your level of preparation. It's is never hard or tough but yes examinations are lengthy. In admission process I think more guidance should be there in terms of selection of courses and knowrl

Faculty

4

If I talk about faculty being a student of Master's you will get highly educated faculty as all of them will be professors only. Basically when we have weekend classes they ask for the books provided by university it's self. They used to guide about the topics to be covered and how to study, which section will be most important and gives key pointer to get hints for examinations and way of study. Once they are providing this much guidance a IGNOU student will get his or her way to study the same course and covers the topics according for examination. Yes this is very helpful when teachers are guiding us for course otherwise. We are unable to start with the course or how to finish it to appear. Point to point knowledge and problematic topic can be resolved through discussion with faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have always held that the training I recieved during my masters programme prepared the grounds for my future development. The teaching pedagogy was centres around participation and a two way dialogue. I am not in the capacity to be suggesting improvements in curriculum as my stint in the university was almost perfect- more than I could have ever asked for.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well designed by the renowned professors and faculty members from different universities in India and from abroad as well. The content was choosen keeping in mind to cover all the aspects of the specific subject for a pg student. As I mentioned before, the quality of study material was very good and helpful and very enough. But the pg thesis is missing from our course, due to which we were not able to do a research project. It appears to me after the completion of my first year that we can do our research under our given faculty but it wasn't mentioned in the course structure as it is mainly upto our faculties.

In IGNOU, you can study from anywhere because the courses are offered in distance and online mode. You don’t have to attend regular college; you can study at home using the books, PDFs, and online lectures. IGNOU also provides online teachers through live classes, recorded videos, and doubt-clearing sessions on their online platforms. This makes it easy for students to learn even if they are working or living in another city.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For the course i must say that this is something everyone needs to study about even if it's for just a part. We have ethics, moral, cultural relativism and etc. In our syllabus and it all really help to make our thinking rational, to see World from that point of view from where one can see the clarity. It's really necessary for improvement in personality and making good decision. I think there's need for making this course more practical like teaching, we can teach students about essentials of philosophy for there betterment of decision making from an early age.
