Course Curriculum Overview

The university has best course curriculam equopped with all kinds of teaching and learning which the legal industry needs at this point of time. Their are few changes in the course curriculam pending at the academic council.

Firms- CAM, SAM, Spice route legal, HSA Legal, IC Universal Legal (With stipend) PSUs and govt. department- IOB, Coal, NABARD, Reserve Bank of India , DPIIT Private- Tata Steel, Vedanta etc You will get these firms according to your CV and seniority

Placement Experience

Semester 10 students are eligible to sit in placement drives conducted by the placement drive Firms like SAM, CAM, Spice route legal comes for placment 50-60% sudents are placed every year My plan is to work in corporate law firm for 1-2 year and afer that independent practice at Jharkhand High Court

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees is 216500 per annum including all kinds of expenses Scholarship E-kalynan scholarhsips for Jharkhand students Central government scholarhsips for outside students University provides both merit and need based scholarship

Campus Life

Annual fest- Avibhaav (This time it was conducted in April month) The library is equipped with lacs of journal and books both offline and online. All the classrooms are equipped with smart boards, speakers and projectors

Hostel Facilities

1st year are given rooms on sharing basis. from 2nd year a student is given single room Mess committee handles the quality of foods and menu When you are admitted to the univeristy at time timw you are automatically registered for mess option. Students are not allowed to reside outside the university

Hostel Fee: INR 19800 per year

Admission

For Admission one needs to give CLAT and get a rank of 900-1500 AIR in general category. Applcation fees for CLAT is Rs. 4000/- This time CLAT will take place in December 2024 for taking admission in 2025. 50% seats are reserved for Jharkhand students

Faculty

You can always interact with any faculty both in class or outside the class. A student get ample oppurtunity to interact with them Few faculties have very good approach towards teaching. The faculty and student ratio is 1:20. All the faculties are highly qualified but few of thm are not trained to teach in a NLU.

Our fee structure is like ki you have to pay first time 15700 as a admission fee You also have to pay 500 on college bank If you came from reservation then need documents like cast domicile and etc there is a scholarship which comes in state government of jharkhand it's e kalyan for filling the form of e kalyan you again need documents like cast domicile income etc if you want to fill form then you have to be the domicile of jharkhand they give you around 20000 as a scholarship

NUSRL- a brief overview.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well I'm a first year student and in the first year we were mostly taught BA subjects like English, economics, philosophy,legal history, contract and tort. Among these, I think that legal history and philosophy were the most important subjects that we got to study. They're highly practical and helps us develop arguments and gets us to know about the history of how the legal system in India came into being. Exams are conducted on a pretty good time intervals.

In 5th year, companies start coming for the placements.Being a 2nd year student, I don't have much knowledge about it. But our last batch senior who passed out. Many of them I heard that they got placements. The placements were around like 12,00,000.

Here the positive part is that most of the law teachers are from nlus or from good law collages. The teachers here have a good knowledge of the field of law and most of the teachers are helpfull. Negative part sometimes the teachers are not able to fully complete there syllabus because law is a vast subject.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after 8th semester. There are various law firms and corporate companies which visit college like Trilegal, SAM, CAM, ICICI Bank, etc. Many AORs are also invited to hire students under them. Although the campus placement is not that great, but students do find job after graduation. Many students go for LLM after the course also.

A short review on NUSRL, Ranchi

Placement Experience:

5th year (final year students) are the only ones eligible for placement. You can work on your own to get one before that. The placement cell has very recently become active and so we need to wait 6 more months to see the real ratio of placements made. However, most students here either pursue LLM, or they get placement offers before the college can provide them or they simply go for preparing judiciary, govt counsels, or other jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main motive to choose the course or to say likely to choose these course because it is very learning course for every student to know there right and duties and more over laws. After choosing the course it was really hardship to cover whole syllabus at one semester though I process it out and make it easy the law basically tought us to solve the reasoning in short and simple. Which I am learning in my whole semester which is not affecting my exams and internship duration.

During counselling, initially, I was allotted NLU, Tamil Nadu but I chose to float it as it was really far away from my hometown. After that in the 2nd list, I was allotted DNLU, Jabalpur, but I floated again because DNLU wasa 3 tier college and it has been recently established, so, I left. Nusrl Dissected

I was very clear that I have to go to a NLU anyday over anything . There are good private universities but the name that a NLU has is unmatched. Even the internship and placement opportunities these days are preferring NLU grads. Moving to central Universities. No doubt they are good as well but the work culture and exposure which I can get into a NLU is unmatched. NUSRL through my eyes.

I got confirmed admission from Symbiosis Law School, Noida. In ClAT counselling round I got a seat in NLU Assam also. I chose this college over SLS Noida because this is an NLU. And NLU Ranchi has better ranking than NLU Assam. Admission in my college happen through Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Seat is allotted through counselling process which happens in 5 rounds.
