No bad remarks for this college because everything in this college is great whether it be academics or infrastructure or facilities or placement opportunity or anything.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is really good. We have 8 semesters in total. And we also have special training sessions and special wine course so that we should have knowledge about different wines. Training sessions are conducted after every sessional exam which to help us to learn new and important things.

Placement Experience

The placement of this college is really good, it is more than I expected. Many multinational hotels come for campus placement and many of our seniors got well placed.

Extracurricular activities are also taken very seriously here, as it helps us to develop our personality. We have many events like the annual day, sports day, debates, food fest which is very popular in the whole university and other events.

The faculty is highly experienced. They help us to notice small small points so that we would have more professionalism. They provide special training to us and other special sessions like special wine session which help us to have a deep knowledge of different techniques and ingredients.

Placement Experience:

After second year we are sent to hotels for internships and that is where we learn most of the stuff. From five star groups like Hyaat and Le Meridien we also have fast food chain restaurants like Devyani Group and McDonald's among others have and keep on hiring student from our university regularly.

My experience at WGSHA

I had gone through various colleges and their curriculum, but it did not excite me as I felt their focus was mainly on either food science or technology or nutrition. Not much importance to clinical or applied nutrition. My interest was in applied nutrition. The subjects here interested me the most with diet- medical nutrition therapy, clinical nutrition, sports nutrition and I could do specialization in public health. I was exposed to communities- speaking to people in their homes, anganwadis, school children, one month internship after 2nd sem and 6 months internship in the 4th semester. Usually they conduct Manipal entrance test for various courses but for msc dietetics and applied nutrition we had interview.
