Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose to take admission in Jain University just because I wanted to switch my studies to computer science , I had done BBA in my graduation but wanted to switch to CS to went to Jain bcz they were offering MSC IT . The curriculum isn't that good . MSc in CS and IT in other states is far more difficult and has a lot of standard but the MSc curriculum in Jain is like 11-12th Grade , they don't concentrate on coding , building websites nothing . It only focuses on Theory. Just look at Calcutta University BSc computer science syllabus, that is way more better than Jain University's MSc syallabus. Exams !! OMG , The more big answer you write the more marks one gets , even teachers would come and say just fill the papers you will get marks

Fees and Financial Aid

In the year 2021 I took admission in MSC IT in Jain , at that time the fee was about 2-2.5 lakh (total course fee) but from the next year it got increased by 1 lakh rupees. Other than the course fee there are exam fee as well , which would cost around 2-2.5k , but In the last sem they would charge one around 3k , 500rs for some final year project . Other cost like paper publication and science conference , for each paper they would charge about 1000-1500. Then there is something like PCL , it would also cost some money for doing that project. Scholarship and all is not there but emi system is there for paying the course fee through liquiloan which is interest fee

Campus Life

2

As a Master's student in Jain University there is nothing to participate, bachelor's people has a lot of , trust me a lot of clubs , social clubs to participate , Samasti is very famous in Jain University.but for masters people nothing is there

Admission

Eligibility was like 55% in Graduation and nothing more actually The application form was there in their website itself, but it would be present only for a stipulated time duration. When they would open admission inguess at that time. The application fee was about 1000 rs. There was no exam as such for admission but there was a one-on-one Google meeting with professors

Faculty

3

The interaction was teachers was fine , no issues in that . Few teachers were not up to date with the current technologies that too Masters faculty . Some faculty members have PhD degree but no teaching skills .Course curriculum not upto the mark

Interview Experience

3.5

I was asked simple questions about technology and then about coding , cloud, few coding logics (algorithm) , Why am I interested in doing CS The process was quite easy so didn't require much prep from my end

Other Applied Colleges

PES University - [PESU] | Master of Computer Applications [M.C.A]

Waiting list for admission was there and still they asked for 1,00,000 Rs for waiting list also

MIT World Peace University - [MIT-WPU] | Master of Computer Applications [M.C.A] (Management)

I wanted to get college in Bangalore rather than Pune

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.
