Remarks

The infrastructure of the college is very good however faculty is not up to the mark. Sport is not given any importance. Internship is not a part of the course which is a major drawback. Hostel life is really amazing and Hostel facilities are decent.

I took MHCET. I did not have any other course choice.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure is mainly focused on bookish knowledge with less focus on research and practical learning. Faculty is not up to the mark.

Placement Experience

Placements are good if you have decent marks. If you have Above 60% marks then you will have a number of companies to chose from. Almost everyone with above 55% marks gets placed. Although the high packages companies are very few. The average salary package during 2008 was around 3 lacs.

College Events

Lots of college festivals like robotics etc and good participation from other colleges in India.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel Rooms are good. Food options are plenty.

YCCE College : My Experience

Placement Experience:

The placements are good in the YCCE college as compared to other colleges in Nagpur. From seventh semester the students are eligible for the campus reqruitments. The companies that offer placements in YCCE are Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, wipro, Persistent etc. The highest package is around 24 LPA and the average package is around 5 LPA. Around 70-80% students get placed every year in the college. My plans after getting the degree is to get a secure job and spent time with family.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college are pretty good considering the Fact that mostly its the Top 2000-3000 students from Maharashtra that make it to this college. The average Package offered in the college is Around 11LPA while the highest package last year was around 48LPA. The names of the Top companies that have recruited students from my college include Adobe, Amazon and Mastercard. The placement percentage from the past few years has been above 90%. My plans after getting the Degree is either to continue my Cricket Career as a Proffesional or to become a Commercial Pilot.
