As per Adesh Sutar, a BE Mechanical Engineering student at Sinhgad Institute of Technology (SIT) Lonavala, the college actively hosts a wide range of cultural festivals and events throughout the year. Celebrations such as Navratri, Garba nights, and Ganpati Utsav are conducted with great enthusiasm, often featuring celebrity appearances that add excitement to the campus atmosphere. Hostel Facility

The hostel facilities at SIT, Lonavala are well-equipped to provide a comfortable and convenient stay for students. Each hostel block features a recreation hall, TV set, access to daily newspapers, periodicals, and Wi-Fi internet connectivity, ensuring both relaxation and access to information. Rooms are furnished with essential amenities including a wooden chair and table, iron cot, iron rack, foam mattress and pillow, ceiling fan, tube light, telephone facility, and hot water supply. Additionally, rooms come with attached toilets and bathrooms for added convenience. The hostel fee is INR 59,800 per year, along with a one-time refundable caution deposit of INR 5,000, making the total payable amount INR 64,800.

Sport Facility

SIT Lonavala campus includes a 5-acre cricket ground with a separate practice area, a 13-acre multi-sport facility with day-night play options, and courts built to international standards. Amenities include an 11-lane jogging track, football and hockey grounds, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and skating courts. A golf training course spread across 20 acres is also under development, adding to the campus's appeal. Dining needs are met with four canteens, a Nescafe/milk parlor, and separate mess facilities for boys and girls (500-seat capacity each), monitored for food quality.

Accommodation includes a guest house and staff quarters, while a sewage treatment plant ensures eco-friendliness. The campus is fully connected with 100 Mbps internet, Wi-Fi, and access in all departments. Transport is provided via college buses from Pune and Mumbai, and the campus is easily reachable by train and MSRTC buses from both cities.
