Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is really good and helpful.There are more of skill based subjects that are helpful in future than simple theory part.There are two exams in a sem i.e. mid sems and end sems along with some regular class tests of some subjects

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 192000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Since being in the first year I'm not so aware of these internship opportunities as such but many companies come to provide internship opportunities in different domains.Internships are held from the second year of college only providing great opportunities

Placement Experience

Placements are good enough.At the start of fourth year students are eligible to sit in the placements.Even the internship opportunities start from the first year itself.Maximum students get placed at a high or low package

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is a bit high 192000.There are relaxations for sc and st.Many private scholarships are also provided by different ngos.PMSSS for J&K students is also applicable for this college.Overall good one in terms of scholarships too

Campus Life

There are two main fests every year namely vishwakarandak and vishwotsav held in months of February and april respectively.There are approx 42 clubs in the college offering good opportunities for different interests

Hostel Facilities

They provide you with bed,matress,wadrobe and a studytable in our room.Common facillities include washing machine and fridge.Registeration process is there when you take the admission only.The annual rent for hostel is 100000

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

Admissions are usually on the mhtcet score.The cutoff percentile for CS or IT streams is 97/98 percentile.Me being from j&k came under pmsss scheme so my boards score was considered for admission.Overall admission process is very simple

Teachers are really helpful and understanding.All teachers hold a phd degree or so.Can reach out to them anytime and they're always ready to help and guide.Not only the teachers that teach you but can reach out to any teacher anytime

As out batch is of 2024 Covid batch there has been no such placement occurred but after that the ratio has increased

Life of a mech_engineer at VJTI

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

Reality of VIT, Pune

I had applied for COEP technological University, PCCOE Pimpri, and VJTI. I got confirmed addmissions in PCCOE for mechanical course , COEP for metallurgy and VJTI for textile industry. At the last, I took addmission in VIT mechanical. VIT, Pune has good nirf rankings and rather than opting for branches like metallurgy and textile industry I choose mechanical. And between pccoe and vit I choose Vit. Vit accepts admission through cet and jee mains. Also dor dsy students it accpets through cet exam. Cutoff changes every year has been increasing as number of participants has increased. Overall, after the allotment of the college it took 3 hours to take addmission. It could be less if you have alll required documents and fees has been already paid using mean like dd....Read More
