Campus Chronicles: Unveiling the real college experience of The Bhawanipur College Kolkata

I have taken Bachelors of Science Economics honours, I choose this course as there is many career option available including roles in finance, consulting, marketing, and policy analysis as well as industries including healthcare and manufacturing.

Some of the companies that provided internships are as follows Mahavir Jewellers, Maddison World,Satyam Das and House of AC. Mahavir jewellers offered the role of production executive. Maddison world and Satyam das offered role of Social Media Marketing and House of AC offered the role of Marketing.

The college conducts campus placement drive annualy for all its students along with it the students who have archieved good marks in there exam more chance of landing a good job in big companies. The best thing about the placement is that students are not judge entirely on grades. Students having a CGPA of 6.0 are also got placement. I have planned to do MBA in Finance after the degree.

The course cost 200000 for the whole course. There are six semester in this course, There are nearly no extra charges for service fees and compulsory charges. The college organises placement drive for every year.

My campus life in the college is been good. My classmates, seniors, teachers are very friendly and helpful. College conducts many events for the students.College also conducts sports event for both boys and girls. The events helps students to freshen up their moods. Library in the college provides many resources, research support services and guidance to students and faculty members engaged in research projects.

There are many hostel available in the area near the college. The prices are bit high as the area of Bhawanipur is lavish area. The prices of hostel for students starts from 5000 to 15000 per month. Students coming from different states preffers to stay in the hostils near our campus.

The eligibility for the course was minimum percentage of 80 in higher seconday. Maths is complusory in class 12 for admission in this course. All admission procces was held online. Student can find application form , application fees and application dates online.Details of reservevation is provided when apllying for the college. The exams are held in every 6 months

In the Bsc department there are more than 35 teachers and around 200 students. The teachers are very helpful and kind. Students having any querry regarding studies can approach the teachers durning the class. Students along with teachers conduct many events, conference and competition for the students. The classes are interactive in a way that all students are focused in the class.Debates are held covering many major problems in our economy and society.
