Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course covers all aspects of computer science like data structures, algorithms, and database systems and in our third year we'll go deeper into artificial intelligence and machine learning as well and get hands-on experience in the labs.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

There are very few campus internships given by the college and most students get internships on their own. A few companies that come are Schneider Electric etc. A few student projects are taking place and there are a few more student-faculty research projects also taking place.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course is very expensive at 17,00,000 for 4 years considering the fact that this a new college but there are a few government and university scholarships you can avail of and reduce the costs. There is no campus employment but you can freelance and make stuff like the library website and so on and the university will pay you for it.

Campus Life

3

There are two college fests per year. The cultural fest, FALAK and the technical fest, Solstice. In addition to that one of the cultural clubs conducts an event per semester which is like a fest. The library contains a variety of books and journals related to the curriculum and more. Only Outdoor sports are available.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostels are top notch and the cleaning staff does an amazing job at maintaining the cleanliness. The hostels also look very modern and have great facilities. We have a food court, mess (the food is great and we get chicken 4 days a week and biriyani once a week), Salon and spa, departmental store, cafe, clinic and pharmacy.

Admission

You can be eligible for this course after scoring in the MET (Manipal Entrance Test). Two exams take place per year. The difficulty is around the JEE mains level. The applications are open and you can fill out the form on the university website. There is no reservation.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1 to 20 and that is actually a pretty comfortable ratio. The faculty are all PhDs from good universities and they have good knowledge about their subjects and they also pick students to do research projects with them. You can approach them anytime during or after college they are all friendly and appreciate that you're trying

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
