Course Curriculum Overview

4

As I had been already studying BBA in the same University I had a rough idea about the teaching structure and which sessions are taken by which faculties and how impactful the session were. I had also interacted with my mba seniors and learned about how they are finding the sessions and how helpful and understable they are and I mostly got positive feedback which impacted my decision of choosing this course in this university. There are frequent tests taken in the class so the students have a better understanding and also the faculty gets idea about where the students are having difficulty of understanding. The tests also help in preparing for finals.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The companies that come up for internships doesn't provide any kind of stipend. I personally worked in pantaloons for my summer internship at free of cost. The project that I did during my internship was to identify the impact of visual merchandising on customer inclusive buying behaviour. My final year project was upon Assam Gramin Vikash Bank.

Placement Experience

4

From 3rd semester students are eligible for campus placements and can apply to the companies they wish to. Some of the companies that I remember right now are PWC, KPMG, axis bank, ujjivan bank, Vodafone idea, pantaloons, Bajaj Allianz, Tata AIG, Flipkart, etc. The highest package was of PWC. The average package of the placements were around 350000 -400000 per annum. More 70% of the students were placed and some of the students didn't want jobs as they were interested in further studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees for the whole course of 2 years is 460000 which is per semester it was rs. 115000 and if you opt for hostel there are additional fees depending upon the room selected. Hostel room structure is 2seater ac, 3 seater, 4seater, 10 seater. While joining the course you have pay a admission fee of rs. 20000 which is a one time fee, non refundable. Scholarship are available for students who have above 90-95% in graduation. The campus placement cell helps in finding summer internship for the students and during the final year they bring lots of companies for campus placement. Most of my college mates were placed through placements and they are still a part of that organisation.

Campus Life

5

Talent tantra, karyonix, pre bihu, pre Diwali and many more are organised in the campus. Talent tantra or karyonix are held mostly in between January to March and other functions are held during the specified month. The university library has a huge range of academic books and research papers. The classrooms has smartboard, projector, speaker and whiteboard. The campus has football ground, basketball court, badminton court and workshop area where the students have enjoy their free time while playing sports. The university has 6 clubs which are mainly organised by students. Clubs like art and culture, body and soul, literary and others.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities that are provided are - a single bed, mattress, desk, chair, cupboard above the desk and a personal wardrobe with lock. There is enough space to dry your clothes. If I say honestly, I am personally not that fond of the food provided in the hostel as it doesn't suit my taste bud. The food provided is kind of South Indian. During fillup of application form, you can apply for hostel along with it. If someone wants to rent a room or pg the locality will be mohbandha

Admission

Eligibility of the course is that you should have completed your graduation and passed also you shouldn't have any kind of backlogs. The application form for the course can directly be found on the university official website and then you can fill up the form and submit the asked details.

Faculty

4.5

I took finance and marketing specialization in which marketing was a common specialization for everyone be it as a major or a minor specialization. While taking finance sessions mostly our Dean sir taught us and he has great academic achievements and great knowledge about everything and he was very helpful in each and every aspect. The others were also the same, they put extra effort in teaching and making the students understand everything they are unable to catch on. The ration of faculty to students was 1:18 in finance and 1:40 in marketing session. The faculties are even helpful and guide you through your internship project and final project. The faculties even motivate you to publish your own research paper and even after you finish your college and degree he/she will be guiding you later on in life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

To learn about business, entrepreneurship i chose this course but it didn't helped me in any way as of now It has only helped me in enhancing my communication skills more and nothing more than that My suggestions would be the course should include some digital marketing course and some other course as well so that it becomes worthy to study there and become ready for the outside world. The units exams were conducted on after every 1 month of course duration gets complete and the final 3/4 months of duration difficulty levels were not that much hard if you have studied properly and understood the concept you will pass

Once I applied to TU with my MAT score I was asked to come to the university for the GD and PI round. My GD round went for 15 minutes and we were given the topic about GST. In my PI round questions were asked about all my background activities besides academics, my reasons for choosing this course etc. Various mock interviews online helped me a lot while preparing for this round.

Remarks:

The MBA admissions are merit based. The basic eligibility was graduation with 50% marks and a CAT score. TU also conducted an interview and a counselling session once I was shortlisted. TU is a central university under the government, so they offer quality education for very less fees. This was the major reason for joining TU.
