Course Curriculum Overview

5

I'm very happy to choose my course im very happy with my decision, I think this is the best of all course for me and the teaching method is good but the syllabus is way too vast that's very obivous but assignment submission make schedule to hectic . Assignment should be minimised to reduce stress level ,we have exams twice a semester we get enough time in between exams for preparation in externals but not the same in internal exams ,they just happen consequently

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship are provided to top students in first yearwho get admission firston basis of rank in entrance exam otherwise in second and third year scholarship is only provided to toppers of the course, scholarship is provided by University only Tution fee does increase as college consequently changes and develop there infrastructure College have various campus placement companies which come to offer job roles to various students mostly sales , marketing and business development jobs and internships are provided.Big companies like genpack,Wipro, decathlon,ITC maurya etc

Campus Life

5

There are a lot of clubs run by students and faculty memebrs or teachers in different areas of field a lot of clubs like finance, enviornment, nss , placement, commerce club , dance society, music society theater

Admission

Admission is entrance based only, ipu cet exam is there for taking admission in GGSIPU Collages, eligibility of every course is to give entrance based exam and every course have different exam pattern and subject reservation is given to EWS ,OBC,ST/Sc , minority to Sikhs, exam is generally of 150 minutes, studying properly for the entrance can help a lot with improvement in admission process higher the rank higher chances of getting admitted to a good collage

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.
