Course Curriculum Overview

I'm still in 1st year so I cannot comment a lot on this but the curriculum should include the majority of the core subjects instead of the others. Other subjects should be students' choice. But from 3rd year onwards they are mainly focusing on the core but I still feel that they lack the knowledge which is required for placements.

Placement Experience

VIT Pune has a good placement history and is still providing it. Good internships and placements are offered. Being a fresher I've heard a lot of seniors got placed in 3rd year itself with a good package(12-13 LPA). Majority students who chose to sit for placements gets placed and there are many students who choose to go for higher studies or build their own startup or do something great in extra-curriculars.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships available for reservation students, for them the fees is affordable but for open category students the fees feels too much, it's actually a huge amount. In my opinion they should increase the number of scholarships and also provide them based on the marks of the previous year.

Campus Life

VIT Pune offers a variety of clubs focusing on the interests of each and every child making him/her to participate more in the events. There are various social activities going on. The events taking place are really too good. The infrastructure could've been better and the college is working on it.

Admission

The admission process was quite smooth. No such problems were faced. Every detail was available in the college, the staff was friendly and helpful. The thing to comment on is spot rounds. I felt that was a bit unfair.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is quite decent and they pay attention towards us. College takes constant feedbacks which is a good thing. Mostly things are learnt through research and our own presentations (practical basis) there can still be more interactive sessions.

Number of companies visited to the college every year and hire many skillfull students with a good package . the number of placement is constantly increasing from year to year. there is also a good option for students to take the offcampus placement , beacuse the college is capable to develop a skillful and sound engineers from every branch which gets placement easily .

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

Placement Experience:

We have a great Training and placement cell , they first help for inturnship in 3rd and 4th year and also invites top componies for placements in our collage. 6th or 7th sem students are eligible for placements. 80% studnets among the eligible get placed. I will try to get a dencnt job too.

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement drive. Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

Honest Review on VIT, Pune

Except for VIT, Pune, I had applied to colleges like PCCOE, PICT and etc colleges located in Pune itself. My JEE rank was around 77000 or 91.12 percentile and my CET percentile was 96.4, so I couldnt get into PICT. Even if i wanetd to get into PICT, i was getting the EnTC branch, which i didnt want. The admission process included firstly of CAP round followed by SPOT round. The cutoff for various branches depends on the CET and JEE Merit rank/percentile that you have got and on the basis of that youll get the branches in CAP or SPOT round....Read More
