Remarks

My overall remarks about my university are positive. I appreciate my University's effort to make it world class by providing each and every facility to its students. I highly appreciate it and give positive remarks about my university.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

According to me its appreciable, the teaching faculty is great and dedicated. A student teacher friendly environment has been developed which makes interest in the course on the peak. So my opinion on course curriculum is thumbs up, it's simply great. Two types of exams are conducted in a semester.

Placement Experience

3.5

Yes from past 2-3 years university is spending a great amount of money in providing the best internship opportunities to its students. They are sending students to some national companies such as BSNL etc and also some multinational companies such as Intel. This year university has sent its Btech Civil to do an internship in many big projects which include BSNL construction projects.

College Events

3.5

Events are not common but there are some various seminars and most importantly FRESHERS PARTY is celebrated with great enthusiasm. Campus crowd is a great and friendly environment has been created. Also, anti-ragging squads have been kept and honestly there is no ragging recorded on the university campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

According to me, the fee is not so feasible and not so expensive but it's moderate. Besides, also university is providing scholarships which help in backing some fee load from students. So fee structure is moderate which include semester fees and transport facility or hostel facility whichever you prefer.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are offered by the university at great extent, some of them include fee waiver scholarship, yearly scholarship scheme and many more which benefit a large number of students. Approximately about 60-65% students are provided scholarships which is great for students. About loan facilities, I didn't have information.

Campus Life

4.5

They are good enough there are freshers party which make a good relationship between students and express their talent. Also, labs are great and well equipped and the lab technicians are highly qualified and helping. Sports are also great, students are allowed to participate in district, state, and national events. There are well-equipped sports items and highly skilled trainers. So overall extracurricular activities are very good.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, most of the students have been employed in the state, abroad and also in national companies. Since there are very fewer alumni meet up but whenever there is an alumni conference it's very helpful. They share their experience and also encourage us to fight each and every problem in life with ease.

Admission

I had to appear for JEE MAINS. For admission to the university, you should have a good JEE MAINS score. Besides this, your 12th class marks would also be added and a merit list would be drafted on which candidates would be selected (according to their respective preference in the branch).

Faculty

4.5

Till last year the university was having a ratio of 80:20 ratio (80% contractual teachers with M.Tech. Qualification and 20% permanent faculty with Ph.D. ) but now under TEQIP scheme funded by central government New teachers have been recruited with qualifications of Ph.D. M.Tech from some great institution e.g IIT NIT etc. The overall university is recognized for its teacher-student friendly relation.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Just one company visits and that too isn't up to the mark. Its PISOFT. The highest average package in our campus was 6lpa earlier. Now that also doesn't exist. We have to go for off-campus placement. Only 4 students out of a batch of 63 students. After getting the degree.I will apply in a company for a job via off-campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course of CS cyber security is one of the leading course and need of today's modern world. Cyber crime is increasing with each passing day so demand for such course will never go down. For real world application students are given practical knowledge with well maintained computer labs. MBS College of Engineering and Technology, Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Mechanical Engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 22, 2022(Enrolled 2020)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as I completed my diploma in mechanical so I pursue this and talking about the faculty-student ratio, it is quite good as 2 teachers are there for every subject, so in a recent update, they made it compulsory for every teacher to have an M.tech degree and the teaching method is quite good and some of them are really good, so the exams were taken by Jammu University, the timing of sessional exams are taken every 1 and half months and it is done twice in the semester but the result took a lot of time.

Remarks:

It was the only state government run engineering college. So it was pretty obvious that the cut-off and competition to get into GCET was more than any other private college in the state. Right from the reputed and experienced faculty to the soft fee structure of the institute, it was a go to college for me or anybody else in the state. Upon joining, i opted for the mechanical engineering course because that had been my dream course, if i was to go for engineering.

Remarks:

College is quite good academic-wise but there is a lack of sports facilities. And the hostel facilities and the college fee are quite expensive. The college infrastructure is quite good and mesmerizing. College teachers are really very helpful.
