Course Curriculum Overview

I particularly chose this course for Macro and Micro Economics which interest me so much. The course is designed in a specific way so as to increase the students' skill and understanding in core subjects revolving economics and make them future ready for critical thinking and problem solving in the field of economics. The exams are conducted four times a semester (3 interim tests and 1 Final exam). The interim tests are conducted once every month and final exams are conducted in the ending 4th month

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is hiked by 5% every year. The fees are different for General/OBC category and SC/ST category. The total fees structure is divided into tuition fees, Hostel fees, Library fee, Wi-Fi fee, Sports and Gym fee, Miscellaneous and etc. Mess fees are to be separately beared by students every month in the mess(operated by third party caterer) approx ?3000-4000 every month. I haven't undertaken any sort of employment in the campus. But there are roles and responsibilities that can be taken up by students like Placement cell members, Cultural committee members, Mess committee members, etc.

Admission

Eligibility for the course is done through CUET (Central Universities Entrance Test) conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) which also conducts JEE mains and advanced examinations. The application would be available from the website (https://cuet.nta.nic.in/). After writing the CUET exam and getting the score for it go to college website (https://www.base.ac.in) and apply for the desired course. Coming to reservations SC/ST category reservations are there and there is 60% reservation for people from Karnataka across all categories. There are also reservations under Serviceman category for the students whose parents served/serving in the army. I was a General Category candidate so didn't get to avail any reservation.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements right after completing their B.Math(Hons) degree, i.e after their 6th semester. Companies like Microsoft, Google, LinkedIn, Wipro, and other Multinational Companies visit and every student gets an offer from one company or the other. The package ranges from 10LPA to 25LPA. Those students who opt for placement after their B.Math(Hons) course is over, all get a placement offer while most of the students prefer to continue their Master's Degree. I too would like to complete my Master's Degree after my bachelor and think about further options thereafter.
