Course Curriculum Overview
I particularly chose this course for Macro and Micro Economics which interest me so much. The course is designed in a specific way so as to increase the students' skill and understanding in core subjects revolving economics and make them future ready for critical thinking and problem solving in the field of economics. The exams are conducted four times a semester (3 interim tests and 1 Final exam). The interim tests are conducted once every month and final exams are conducted in the ending 4th month
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee is hiked by 5% every year. The fees are different for General/OBC category and SC/ST category. The total fees structure is divided into tuition fees, Hostel fees, Library fee, Wi-Fi fee, Sports and Gym fee, Miscellaneous and etc. Mess fees are to be separately beared by students every month in the mess(operated by third party caterer) approx ?3000-4000 every month. I haven't undertaken any sort of employment in the campus. But there are roles and responsibilities that can be taken up by students like Placement cell members, Cultural committee members, Mess committee members, etc.
Campus Life
We have a event named CROESO which is a freshers party which typically happens during August-September. We have another one called AURORA a cultural fest and an ethnic day which happens during March, a sports fest named SPORTAN also during March-April and finally a Farewell event for outgoing batch which happens in April. We also have students clubs like Quiz club, Debating Society, Theatre Club, Dance Club, Book Reading Club, etc. Library has been equipped with books from various publications covering a wide range of topics. We also have a eBook library with over 1500+ books. Library is equipped with WiFi and also various data sources like EPWRF and IndiaStat. We have sports facilities like Volleyball, Football, Basketball and Badminton. We also have indoor games like Table Tennis, Carroms, Chess. We also have a Gym in the campus. Classrooms are equipped with Wi-Fi and projectors for digital learning. Classrooms also have Air conditioners and Ample Lighting.
Admission
Eligibility for the course is done through CUET (Central Universities Entrance Test) conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) which also conducts JEE mains and advanced examinations. The application would be available from the website (https://cuet.nta.nic.in/). After writing the CUET exam and getting the score for it go to college website (https://www.base.ac.in) and apply for the desired course. Please enter your CUET score in the application form when asked. Coming to reservations SC/ST category reservations are there and there is 60% reservation for people from Karnataka across all categories. There are also reservations under Serviceman category for the students whose parents served/serving in the army. I was a General Category candidate so didn't get to avail any reservation.
Faculty
Faculty members are highly qualified with PhD's and the ratio is 1 teacher is to 20 students. The faculty members have a sophisticated teaching process and syllabus designed to make the students industry ready. The faculty members are friendly and are ready to interact with the students for their queries and doubts.
