GNLU needs no introduction!!

Law honestly is a never ending studies as ammendments keep on happening. From the best of case studies that happened years back to cases that have changed the cours of our country like the state vs Nanavati Case or the Sairo Bano case, all such cases were discussed in our moot rooms. So course wise I don't see any complaints as the college has prepared us for the best in future.

For law students internship after every semester is mandatory. Hence, if they perform well there they can get placements without campus placements. In campus from corporate houses to various big law firms came and offered jobs worth 10-15LPA per annum. The placement percentage dropped significantly in our year and I don't know why but only half the students had placements from the campus. However, some students got placements worth 20LPA or more from our campus.

Fees is reasonable as NLUs can't charge lesser than this. Also, fees had to be paid semester wise so it wasn't that of a burden that a student has to pay the fees upfront. The fees increased drastically post lockdown and unfortunately for two long years, we had to study from home. Scholarships from SC/ST to sports or mandatory Northeast students scholarships were available and many students availed benefit through that.

In campus, we have numerous societies and events going on every month. The annual fest Pentagram happens in March or April every year. Apart from that, we also have dandiya night every year during Navratri and students from various colleges come and celebrate Navratris with us. Every year we also host justice league which is annual sports fest in which students from various law colleges comes and participate. From basketball to cricket, to indoor sports like chess and badminton, we have all the facilities. A metro station right next to our campus will be ready in next few months and that will make commuting even more easy.

Since law is a professional course, hostels are mandatory. In hostel there are few single rooms and most are double and triple sharing rooms. I stayed in double sharing room throughout and hostel rooms are good enough for two people to stay. We both had our seperate cots and cupboards. The bathrooms are common but are in numbers in each and every floor. The food at the mess had variety but taste was definitely not so good.

CLAT is mandatory and for general students to get admissions in GNLU Gandhinagar rank has to be in top 500. Yes for reserver students such as students from backward class or students with physical disability, students ranked upto 7000 were also considered. Without CLAT score there's no way that one can enter any NLU forget just the GNLU.

One of the best facilities on earth is what out campus has. Some of the faculties have even practiced law for years at higher courts and therefore we get a real life experience from them. Initially I had different ideas about law but it's our faculty who taught us that Indian law is all about defending. So, they changed our entire approach towards the same and made legal studies a fun for us.
