Course Curriculum Overview
I always had a keen interest in management and law, because of which I chose BBA LLB as my course. This course curriculum is diverse because I get to learn fundamental legal subjects like criminal law, constitutional law, securities law, etc With this, I also had an opportunity to learn accountancy, management, organizational principles, market structure, and much more. The professors also conduct experts lecture which provide a real- world insight with respect to aplication of law and business.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are available to all. Usually, the internships are secured by meritorious students because the tier-1 firms only select students based on their batch rank. After the selection in the internship, one has to appear for an interview, and then the candidate is selected. A few firms also conduct two interview rounds to short list students. The tier-1 corporate firms constitute CAM, SAM, Trilegal, AZB partners, Saraf and Partners, and Khaitan. The university also provides an opportunity to intern with NGO, independent litigators, including offices of renowned lawyers, In-house firms, and government offices.
Placement Experience
After 4th year, students are eligible to sit for placements. Some students also receive a pre-placement offer in the 4th year itself. The students are first prepared for day zero, i.e., placement day, beforehand by conducting a mock interview, which is a voluntary session conducted by the placement committee. CV Vetting workshops are also conducted in the eighth semester because at the end of the 8th semester, the placements are made where tier-1 companies like Khaitan, AZB Partners, CAM, SAM, Trilegal, etc. In-house firms like Adani, ICICI Bank, Tata, and more come for recruiting students. Some students sit for placement; others who want to prepare for government exams like judiciary, UPSC, Public Prosecutor, etc. refrain from sitting in placements.
