The National Institute of Engineering , Mysuru review

I found and still find computer science very interesting since the beginning. I dont think there is any need of improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods as its already good enough. There is just sometimes confusion between 2 different faculties teaching the same subject, the only liability i find in the teaching methods. The exams take place in quick successions which make it stressful.

The companies which offer internships with stipend are Infosys, TCS , Wipro, Cognizant and many more. The projects are data - engineering and full stack developments. There are a very few companies offering paid internships as compared to free ones.

From around end of 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies which visit the college like infosys, TCS , JP Morgan. These offer good paid internships as well as with some great roles. Some even offer pre-placements.

Im not aware of the tution fee hike but its approx 10%. The complete cost of all included might be around Rs.300000. There are many scholarships available for students but i didnt apply for any so idk much about it. Havent applied for any job roles or responsibilities.

There are many college clubs which conduct fun and educational events. Even there are many sports tournaments like inter-branch, individuals , inter-college tournaments. In the classrooms, its just like an ideal regular classroom.

The hostel is not good at all. The food is unhygienic and sometimes they just keep rice for us to eat. Even the bathroom maintenance is on working times. There is a chair,study table, small bookshelf, a wardrobe , a mirror for each student of 3 sharing rooms.

Eligibility of this course is a student should have passed 12th in PCM. You can find the application form, fees and dates in the official sites of the examinations depending on which they give (comedk or kcet). I dont think there would be any need for improvement in the admission process.

The faculty to student ratio is 1-16. It doesn't affect much negatively. The faculty is very experienced, many teachers have graduated via better colleges. The teacheds never have a problem when a student approaches them and answer the doubts politely and clearly.
