The environment of this college is superb.

Placement is good but not like other iit colleges because this college is more research based oriented.

I don't dislike this college but yeah this college in kerala so i don't like weather here
and another thing is that I don't like much mess food , because I'm from north India

since I choose Master in Machine learning and computing , Machine learning and computing course is so well designed and start from basic to high level. which things needed is provided by them for this we didn't face much problem except sometimes.

yeah In my college placement is good by not like other IIt college , but they provide lots of thin except placement , like they discuss about PHD and other higher education from lots of other colleges and also give opportunity to do work in ISRO.

fee structure of my college : tution fee is 42000 and Hostel fee of my college is : 6600 and other fee : 2500 in this college first year is mandontary to live in hostel . after first year you can choose you want to stay or not with reason.

Campus Life

Here, Compus life is so awesome. No restriction and friendly environment . Social aspect is so nice, there is lots of club any one can join any club and there are lots of things to do in clubs. and for all club they give separate space.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is so nice everthing is provided by them which things neccesary for a student. and here mess is not inside the hostel , Mess building is separate for all faculty , staff and students. that is good.

Hostel Fee: INR 6600 per year

Admission

I qualify the graduate aptitute test in engineering (GATE) examination . after that i fill the form entrance form for this college in around april-may month then according to my gate score my causling started then sometimes they took interview and sometimes they give admission letter basis on your gate score

In this college faculty-to-student ratio is low , in master I thin four to five student has one faculty . mentoring is so good and faculty is so helful. and his /her teaching method is so nice, and the notes and conten provided by them is so valuable.

Placement opportunities are good. As I understand each students get minimum 20 company interview chances. students are placeed in TCS, Johson & Johson, eependorf, cipla, infosys etc. i think some where around 50000 per month was the highest. lowest is 15 k i believe.

Placements are mostly conducted with AMRITA school of pharmacy, and managed by the CIR team (They take care to develop and mould students from 1st semester in aptitude, English and soft skills). A review about life in CET, as an Mtech structural engineering student

Placement Experience:

In first semester so far no placement for structural engineering had came. Basically for Mtech placement is less compared to Btech. And especially for civil Engineering streams it's too less. College is saying many companies will visit in coming days. In Btech in other streams like CS,EEE most of them are placed when it comes to civil it's less to get placed in core companies. In Mtech only a few get placed in core companies. My aim is to get placed in any company. Preference is a core company but it's ok if get any other companies also

In a very short period of time the college us able to match the standards of IIT. Few of my batchmates received pre-placement offers during the college internship program. The college was able to provide the highest package of around 30 LPA and the average package was 11 LPA. I applied to the top for IITs giving courses in aerospace and this IIST and no private institutions because this degree is of low importance and intrest in the students of India and difficult to study and maintenance of these labs is far costly for getting profits through admissions and no nit institute is giving this course. The Holistic IIST

As i am JEE Advanced qualified student, i have many options in JOSAA counselling like i am getting Mechanical in IIT BHU, Civil in IIT Goa, chemical in IIT ISM Dhanbad and also chemical in IIT Bhubneshwar but i choose IIST over those colleges because as I mentioned it is focused on academics and this institute has labs better than any other college in India also the I am getting ECE branch here that is why. Yes i got rejection from many IITs and NITs because my rank was not too good to be there. Our college has a very simple admisaion process, from what i remember, you have to fill the counselling form of this college which opens during the time of JOSAA counselling but on its own website. Then as the counselling starts if you got a seat then you have to pay the seat acceptance fee amount but if you didn't get one then you can wait for spot rou d which will have a high chances for your selection for that you have to pay an extra amount over seat acceptance fees. The eligibility criteria of more than 75 percent aggregate in 12th is not there but you should have to be JEE Advance qualifier. There are no other exams for getting admission in this college, the only exam which you have yo give is JEE Advance and the minimum criteria is the passing marks...Read More

IIST Dream college For Space Enthusiasts

I have qualified Jee Advance. I have applied for IITs and I got IIT Bhubneshwar, Metallurgy in 2nd round. But I like Space Science from my childhood, So I opt for Aerospace Engineering in IIST over Metallurgy in IIT. It is really easy to ISRO being an IISTian. I have applied for ISI but I was not qualified by 2 marks. For admission in IIST, You have to qualified Jee Advance. On the basis of your Jee Advance Score IIST conduct their own Councelling for their different courses. For my year 2022, Jee Advance was bit tough and cutoff was 20%....Read More
