The college is closed to howrah easy to travel.
College has nice environment for coding.
College teacher are very friendly and helpful.

Dislikes

You have to follow dress code to attend classes.
Take fine for low attendance and any event not held for longtime but recently they started to organise freshers.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am pursuing electrical engineering here so subject is very interesting but you have to have basic knowledge of mathematics and basic physics. This course consists of large of subjects which is draw back here.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure and availability of scholarships, financial aid, and campus employment opportunities vary widely depending on the institution. Course cost for me is 3 lakhs and you can get scholarship form government around 1.8 lakhs if you have not backlog and 60% then you are eligible.

Campus Life

In the name of campus life, we are living school life. There is no fresher’s event that is held. Recently, the college started tech fests and all. But from my first year till now, many events have occurred. Fines are imposed for not abiding by certain dress code rules. It is a ragging free campus. There are common boys’ room and common girls’ room.

Admission

I am lateral so to get enrolled in this course i 3k rank in jelet so , i choose any stream with this rank but if you have rank under 10k then you can get electrical easily here for non core branch you have to have rank under 5k

Faculty

College faculty have great knowledge regarding there subject and helpful. But some of them are not have bad teaching style but there are knowledge. They provide note what need for exam. But some won't give any notes.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
