Course Curriculum Overview

3

It was my personal choice of choosing this particular course. However it has a wide range of scope. It helps to understand and deal with the real world problems. It helps to understand the mechanics behind every problem. But the exams are too frequent. However the level of the exams are quite good.

Internships Opportunities

3

The University provides a vast opportunity for interships. It collabs with other universities and institutions for interships. It also provides summer internships. And many more internships. It provides opportunities to every students.

Placement Experience

3

The ROI of this University is Good. One of the students got a placement of 18 lakhs from Mechanical Department this year. But the percentage of students getting placed is a bit low. As very few Companies visit due to its location and as a result only 60 percent of the students get placed. I am preparing to appear for Gate exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

As the tuition fees are already mentioned. And according to me it is quite affordable as compared to some other institutes and colleges. But the availability of scholarships are very less as it is already providing a sufficient fees.

Campus Life

4

As this University organises a very popular tech fest known as TechXetra. It also organises many fests. This University has a very big library with enough reading rooms. The classrooms are well equipped. The sports facility is also good enough. This University also provides enough clubs.

Hostel Facilities

3

I am a boarder of CMH (Charaideo Mens' Hostel). CMH is the oldest hostel of all. The intake of the hostel is about 300 students. The mess fees of this hostel is quite high as compared to the other hostels.

Admission

One who has appeared the JEE exam and has cracked with good percentile is eligible for this course. The application form, application fees and application dates are available on the University website. Reservation benefits are quite satisfactory. The University also provides its particular exam known as TUEE(Tezpur University Entrance Exam). The admission process may be a bit unsatisfactory for the students from remote areas as it requires physical reporting of the Candidate.

Faculty

3.5

The interaction between faculty and students are quite good. Any unresolved query can be solved by reaching to the faculty members. The faculty members are very experienced. As a whole, it improves the learning experience of an average student.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute. The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.
