Course Curriculum Overview

4

Those who are doing BTech just to get a placement after college (me as well) curriculum to them won't be a matter of fact. The curriculum is old fashioned, from maybe 10-15 years old, although they have introduced new branches with nearly latest curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Some of the companies which do visit our campus( offically declared by TNP cell) are: MAAGM Flipkart Phonepe Uber Media.net Siemens Walmart Cisco Oracle Airtel Texas instruments Trilogy innovations Tower research Qualcomm Mediatek Highest : 2 lacs per month

Placement Experience

4

Placements are discussed already above, but I'll discuss more about internship here. It generally starts with the end of 4th semester. Companies starts visiting college campus, with students getting updates with their registered email ids after registering with TNP cell. Almost every company coming oncampus here is for tech roles( sde/sre/devops/hardware/embedded/analyst engineers), so I'll stick to it. Students with >=7 CGPA will be allowed to most of the companies atleast for resume screening, but I would highly suggest to maintain 7.5+ or 8+ for very very high chances of getting atleast OAs. Then its upto you who prepared for job, give your best, be friendly with company members, TNP, POCs. Prepare well for soft skills and core subjects.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee: Fee is not constant for the whole course duration, it increases every year by a margin of nearly 10%. This year being Rs. 2,29,000/ ,you can calculate the upcoming years fee. Apart from college fee above, college has some mandatory NPTEL courses which cost Rs.1000/ each. Placements/internships: Personally, I took admission just for the placements here xD. Although this is bad for everyone as the market is not performing well ( just supply-demand things ). Our college is also impacted from it. I cannot reveal the exact placement figures, but they are really bad when compared to previous years placement Statistics. Highest fulltime: 52LPA Lowest: 4LPA Median: ~10 LPA

Campus Life

3.5

Its okayish when we consider campus life here. As everyone is busy with academics all the year, but some manage to get their time for extra fun apart from books/computers. Has a good vibrant 142 acres of land, with peacock, snakes , squirrel trees, high tech classrooms with ACs, and other basic amenities.

Admission

Jee mains rank get yourself registered with JOSSA Counselling committee keep in sync with cut-off rounds if got your seat confirm with the payment of fee as told in JOSSA Counselling brochure available on their website.

Faculty

4

Faculties are qualified enough to where they are. Almost every faculty is/are phd( if that matters ;-) ) have good knowledge of their respective subject. But as most of you know, " bacchhe YouTube se hi padenge exam se 1 Hafte pehle". Although if you have any problem with faculty, you can directly contact them or at the end of semester can submit faculty feedback (anonymous) to the college on University management system portal( which obv. does not have any impact, as they don't even consider those feedbacks . Its just a formality they do fro their end, this is my/our personal experience). *Disclaimer: Do not get involved in fights/heated_Arguments with faculties, they are not gonna be changed overnight, and marks are in their hands, so be a witty student, just attend classes, enjoy college life, explore and learn. No fight, no jhagda, majaani life.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 6th semester onwards. The average package is around 20 LPA and the highest package is 85 LPA. The placements percentage for top branches is around 80% and many big companies like Amazon, Uber, Google, Microsoft, etc. offer placements. After my degree I plan on securing a placement on the tech field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as **fairly comprehensive and reasonably relevant**, especially in terms of building a strong foundation in core engineering concepts. One of the factors that influenced my decision to choose this course was the **structured curriculum covering important fundamentals such as programming, data structures, mathematics, and core engineering subjects**, which are essential for both technical roles and higher studies. The curriculum provides a solid theoretical base and helps develop analytical thinking, but for real-world applications students often need to complement it with **projects, internships, coding practice, and self-learning**, since some topics are still taught in a more traditional or theoretical way. In terms of improvements, the curriculum could benefit from **more industry-oriented electives, practical assignments, updated lab work, and interactive teaching methods such as case studies or project-based learning**. The exam system typically includes **two major exams per semester — a mid-semester exam and an end-semester exam — along with internal assessments, quizzes, and assignments**. The exams are generally **moderate in difficulty**, and students who attend classes and prepare consistently are able to perform well, though the evaluation tends to focus more on conceptual understanding and written exams rather than purely practical skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really liked physics and applications of physics so chose mechanical engineering, as ut has a lot of application of physics directly can really see how things work not just ideally but actually Curriculum is really good besides getting assignments which noone takes seriously everyone just copies , there must be much more practical stuff so that everyone learns but we do get that in tech teams but not directly as a student in college. There must be practical teachings and proper guidance proper high level machineary must be there, industry visits must be there and internships in such companies must be encouraged There are 5 exams of 1.5 hour considered as mid sems and 6 exams of 3 hours considered as endsems

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
