Review of CMRIT engineering college

No bad remarks. A good college to get an engineering degree.

Course curriculum and exam structure are as per VTU rules. We get to study relevant subjects which are also research driven. The labs weren't hectic. We had enough time to conduct all the experiments and learn from it. We've three internal assessments out of which the best of two is considered.

The placement process is very good. A number of companies came, even for internships. To name a few are ITC, L&T Infotech, Cognizant etc

Each department has different groups and events are held department wise. A lot of exposure to extracurricular activities is given. The main college fest is called Cultura. That's a big event and students get to bring sponsors for their events. Many competitions are held during Cultura.

First fees were around 70 thousand rupees. Every year it reduced by one or two thousand. Bus facility is provided by the college which has separate fees. Traveling through bmtc is affordable. Yearly bmtc pass is available or monthly Volvo bus pass is also available.

I haven't applied for an education loan and so I don't know about it. CMRIT gives the yearly scholarship to those who excel in academics, sports and for leadership quality.

Good campus life, studies with exposure to extracurricular activities. Workshops are conducted for each department. We have a basketball court on campus. Badminton, table tennis are also available on campus. Each department holds competitions and quizzes.

Yes, the alumni network is very helpful. Our seniors gave us good advice during our placements which helped.

I chose the telecommunication branch of engineering because I was interested in the satellite communication field. For admission process, we've to submit original documents of 10th and 12th standard, caste certificate if any, income certificate. We'll get it back after completing four years.

Faculties are well qualified and all are the faculties are interested in teaching students. They guide us and provide helpful information. Faculties who know a particular course thoroughly are assigned to teach that particular course. They use presentations to teach.
