What Students Say

Likes

Not all but few teachers are very understanding as well as caring and they make difficult subjects easy for the students to understand.
Some staffs of the labs are also very caring they help us when we don't understand the things in lab

Dislikes

The time gap between exams are not student friendly at all this just adds to more stress.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is good but is given less time considering the course. Maybe giving more time to learning will improve the outcome and make it a bit easier for the students to learn and grasp things.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are given to the third year student in our college. After the students have completed their third year depending on their results they are given the internship opportunities and get to choose from the offers.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are always taken timely . And scholarship is provided for the financially unstable people and the students who score exceptionally well in their semester exams. To avail the scholarship we have to go through a long process which is a bit tidious.

Campus Life

College infrastructure is not bad, it is well maintained and cleaned. Club here are not upto the mark and all the hype. Clubs here are way too partial they don't give chance to the genuine ones but give chances to the ones who they know.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel room is way too small even for one person but still two persons are living here which is very astonishing. Food here is good on some days but some days it is inedible and water here is very bad which made me sick.

Hostel Fee: INR 35000 per year

Admission

Admission process was good but started too late. Admission process lasted for a week . Admission was completed in one day and was allotted the hostel immediately. Fee payment has to be done immediately then and there itself.

Faculty

Few faculty members are very good at teaching as well as understanding our situation and problems. They make our learning so much fun and teach in an interesting way that is easy for us to understand.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
