The course cirriculam is vast as compsred to previous years , realative in in 1st year Sem1 and Sem 2 we are completing almost the half of 2nd year combining though its gonn be helpful for us jn the real world industrial training which is ahead of us , as being from winter batch students they teachers have already given the pros and cons of the winter batch IT. There should be more practical knowlege of the cirriculm we are going throught as there is only one practical class going on in the year 1 and there is so vast syllabus to complete they should increase the practical classes. There is very less or no study time before the exams as they tend to finish the exam in real hurry PS , CONS of studying in GOV college

The internships usually starts from 3rds sem and 4th sem and the prcoess for getting placed in IT is quite simple as head from our batch mates who are in summer batch , basicaaly a short interview is conducted which looks after the english speaking ability of the students companies like TAJ , marriot, four season, ITC , Hilton hires students from this college and it is pretty much simple for one to choose their desired property for internships , the stipend though is relatively low which is around 5k if now accomodation is provided and with accomodation it is around 1500 with working hours of 10-12 hours daily its really tiring for students so many people leave out after their ITs.

As heard from the faculty and seniors the placements opportunities provided by IHM mumbai is huge and there is very good scope for students in world renowned brands and also do Management traine ( MT) or OCLD , companies like oberios , TAJ , marriot , ITC do provide great opportunity for the studnets and the packagae starts around 3.00 laks to 4.00 lakhs per annum and also people have the opportunity to work outside the industry and go in other fields like marketing and sales by aditya birla etc. Students mostly become eligible from semester 5 to give intervies and the process one some small examination and GDS , for me personally i want to go abroad for working in hotels in furture as the earning in hotel industry in abroad is more than india

The college is regularly providing ODC from great properties like TAJ , ITC , marriots which is helping the students to get real world experience in the year 1 amd stipend ranges from 6hrs/900 to 8hrs/1200 which is great for the students to earn a good amount diring the college life , the metropolitan city being mumbai the course is fee relatively high and there is almost extra charge for every events the college hosts for the tution fees ranges from 4-5 lakhs for 3 years , Also the college provides reseravtion scholrships for selected categories but the process and time for its too long to gets accepted almost takes to be in 3rd year for the scholarship.

The campus life is extravagant and some or the other people is always engaged with some or the other activities hosted by college , there is always one or the other events goes on in the college this year we had our FIRST platinium jublie celebration as the college reached its 74th year and to its ganpati celebration which is huge all over the mumbai . The classroom are not so much spacious comapred to the student ratio and there is almost no facility for the students for do their sporting activites which is a big dissatisfaction for me as i am cricket lover there should have been atleast on turfed area if not ground in the college . People are taking innitivate to run social groups in instagram to save food and provide it to the poor and stray animals

Anyone who is having 12th passing certificate with english in it eligible to get admitted and currently the goverment has removed the age limit so literally anyone can joing the course the application form for the NCHM jee can be found in the NCHM website and they exam takes place in may-april and the results get declared by june or july. The admission process starts from the month of july and the session starts from August . One can easily preapre for the NCHM in a months study and with little descriptive techniqures . The admission process in IHM mumbai was very simple but the for everything other thing you have to visit different as there is no stores for the colleges materials inside the campus

The teachers here in mumbai has a self confidence and theat they are teaching in the best and they are best in the industry despite the overly populated classrooms with a strength of 80-85 in each section so the faculty has to be increased if they want the students to do good and the sections to be divided in more smaller parts , the faculty has extensive knowledge and great teaching skills and they always try to be innovative and try implementing new teaching methods with interesting presentation and mind blowing points , In a batch of 80+ students it is really difficult to communicate with teachers everytime but they tend to help in any query raised by us.
