Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course out come and program outcomes suits well on the paper but in practical it still lacks the ability to get you ready for the real world. There are some subjects we need to be studied more practically like Turbo machine and FEM but focuses more on theory part itself which doesn't help us lot . Also the course design is also feels irrelevant for some subjects such as we have a CAD lab in 3rd sem but it's theory comes up in 5th sem which totally feel irrelevant in that semester since you already did that in your previous semester. Other than that if you are interested in gaining knowledge there are lot of professors who will help to to get ready for real world.

Internships Opportunities

5

I don't got internship on Campus but have done it through a referral. But if you want an on campus intership you need to be from a CS or IT related branch. There are many companies such as Microsoft, Nvidia, Goldman Sachs, Cisco which offers 2 months summer intership after your 6th semester. Stiphen can vary from company by company like Microsoft offers 1.5 lakhs/month stiphen for 2 months intership. But in order to sit in the interview you needed to have atleast 7 CGPA so take care of that once you get shortlisted it all depends on your skill set whether you will intership or not .

Placement Experience

4

Placement rate is around 70% in MIT Manipal. Almost every one who wants placement will get placed other people will either go for research or higher education like MBA. if you are from CS or IT branches then you will get placed easily provided you got basic technical skills. The highest package of these branches is 45 LPA by Microsoft and average package goes around 10 lakhs per annum. Talking about internships then you will be eligible to apply for on campus from 5th semester. Many tech companies come to our campus and offer summer internship of 2 months which nice stipends. Not only that but it can be converted into potential placement if you work properly during internship. There are quite less chances for core branches people like Mechanical or chemical where the placements rate is about 50% only. Few companies come for core roles and you need to have strong hold in your branch knowledge to get into that companies. Hope this helps you get better understanding of Placements aIT

Fees and Financial Aid

Talking about fees it's a bit expensive here as it is considered one of the most expensive college in Whole India. My total fees is around 16.9 lakhs for 4 year but it will increase year on year and different courses have different fees. Talking about scholarship there are many but only if your are an above average student such as Fee waiver scholarship where the top 100 ranks of this exam will be waived off their full fees other than that Their is achiver scholarship in which your 20% fees will be covered if you are eligible. There are people who take out loans to study here because placements rate are good here. If your are opting for a CS or IT related branch then you have easily payback it since the average package here is 10 LPA.

Campus Life

4.5

MIT is a very happening place. The only condition is that you should not sit in your hostel room. There are lot of students project which will recruit you in First year itself. They are the best thing to gain technical knowledge and will give exposure also. Other than that student clubs( Technical and Non- Technical) are also present in Manipal. They organised various events in multiple disciplines not only in MIT but you can participate in MAHE which is university level events also. You can work under various Start up's for which you have to take guidance from E cell of MIT. If you are interested in biking, Cycling or running we even have clubs for that. My only advice is when you come to Manipal you will have in your Mind that this will be not as good as NIT's or IIT's but you should keep it out of your Mind and embrace the opportunities this place offers you.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel Facility are pretty much nice here you have all the options but it depends on everyone preference and budget so I can't talk much about it. They will open all the options before you come to college just have a look at them and choose wisely. If you want proper hostel Life like chichore then I would suggest to pick block 5 or 6 but let me tell you there aren't single rooms available in that. Cleaning and sanitation are best in every hostel. Another advice: If you want good hostel room after 1st year please keep your CGPA good they give hostel based on CGPA criteria as there aren't rooms available for everyone.

Admission

## Gearing Up for Gears: Cracking the MIT Manipal Mechanical Engineering Entrance The coveted Mechanical Engineering program at MIT Manipal comes with a set of eligibility criteria. To be considered, you must have passed your 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects. Additionally, you need at least 50% marks in aggregate, combining these three subjects with one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a technical vocational subject related to engineering fields. The entire admission process revolves around the Manipal Entrance Test (MET). Information about the application form, fees, and crucial dates can be found on the official website of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) [https://www.manipal.edu/mu.html](https://www.manipal.edu/mu.html). The application window typically opens in December and closes in February. There are reservation benefits for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, a

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
