Course Curriculum Overview

Btech in Electronics and Communication can be considered as a promising field for those who are interested. Placements are based on your skills(also academic performance).Even though it field is emerging ECE is evergreen.

Internships Opportunities

Software companies mainly provides the internship.Internship with stipend and without stipend are available. Leave with attendence are provided from college for internships above 10 k rupees per month.

Placement Experience

Normally placements starts from 7th Semester. Job placements and internship placements are available(not as much as other government colleges). Outside campus placements are more prominent.Placement percentage is almost 30% for ECE.

Fees and Financial Aid

For general students, the fees is same as other government colleges in kerala. All type of reservation and scholarships are provided. Placements are considerably less compared to other government colleges.

Campus Life

Technical and non technical clubs are active in college. College library and department library is available to all students. Events like art fest, Tech fest, annual meetups and other programs are conducted.

Admission

Admission for btech courses were based on the keam rank of respective year. Selection will be based on student preference and rank. Reservations are provided for eligible students. Admission will be conducted through cee portal

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
