IITG GUWAHATI MTECH CHEMICAL ENGINEERING SPECIALIZATION IN MATERIAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Course Here at IITG is well structured and is upto date. In regards of chemical engineering. Also a new branch is added that is CAPE. If one wants to go for research the IITG is best for that Well belive there is no such improvement required as the administration takes care of all the required real world and industry ready subject and practical required. Exams are mid sem and end semester mid semester exam is of 2 hours and end semester exam is of 3 hours paper is made by professors. Difficulty level of the exams is totally depends on professor it can be easy or tough marks distribution is also decided by the professor sometime by mutually student and professor.

Mtech students Are eligible for the placement in there 2nd year. Almost 400+ companies visited this year for placement here 2023-24 batch. 824 student till date are placed out of 1400 students. Highest package domestic was 1cr and international was 2.4 cr for this placement 2023-24 season. 76% of the students got placed this year. To join the job as I got placed in SCA technologies

Fees is very cheap it's is only 37000 per semester including mess hostel and other miscellaneous college fees. For mtech students tution fees is 5000 mess fees is 19000 and hostel bees is 6000 rest is miscellaneous fees. Gate qualified student get stipend cum scholarship of rupees 12400 per month for duration of 24 months. Campus placement is also very good this year almost 50% student in my best h got placed including me.

Many fest are there such as alcheringa a cultural fest, spardha a sport fest, techniche a tech fest and many other small fest like udgam etc. A big library with access to all kind of books required for student in every domain and author. Classroom is fully air conditioner and wifi facility is available in the campus except hostel there we have to connect it with Lan cable. Or use our own wifi router. A separate huge sports complex is there including trainers of every sports and are highly skilled in their respective sport. There are many clubs run by the students like coding club, analysts club, social welfare club, a student body taking care of all the students problem.

Room are very spacious and you'll get single room in 3rd year of btech and 2nd year of mtech. Room has one table chair fan bed and a lan port with balcony in some hostels. Food is good 3 times a day food is given breakfast lunch and dinner. While submitting the fees hostel fees is included for mtech students and are not allowed to stay outside so in 37000 mess hostel and tution fees is included.

I'm writing this for admission in Mtech course. For admission in Mtech chemical engineering specialization in material science and technology one has to write GATE exam in chemical engineering. Application forms are released by IITs every year in month of October. It can be found on IIT website conducting GATE for that year. For obc SC/St candidate gets the reservation benifits according to government norms. The duration of exam is 3, hours paper consist of aptitude engineering mathematics and core chemical engineering question. Aptitude is easy and and consist of 15 marks, around 12-14 marks rest is core chemical engineering questions.
