Course Curriculum Overview

Choosing geography help me a lot to study about the various aspects of this subject. from my childhood on words I was very curious about this subject. The curriculum helps me a lot to figure out.teaching methods can be improved by adding lastest advance method of subject to it.the timeing of examination was impressive and difficulty level of exam was moderate

Fees and Financial Aid

I studied in a private colleges which includes semester fees and it was little higher pay. Total for 3 years course I have spend around 350000 rupees.i haven't get any scholarship campus haven't done any kind of placement cells anything

Campus Life

Annual and technical festival conducted by the college is not at all impressive. Poor way of treating for college for conducting festivals. The accessibility of library and books was good. The facilities provided by college was not good. Overall overview of sports and extracurricular activities conducted by the college is not working

Hostel Facilities

The college don't provide any kind of hostel facility. College have a good canteen facility. I took another hostel in palayam tvm with was much impressive. Good food and accommodation has been provided

Hostel Fee: INR 5000 per year

Admission

Admission was for regular bsc geography course. Eligibility of this course was good score in 12 th exam. Got admission through Kerala University in supplementary list.i don't get any reservation benefit. The frequency and timing of exam is much impressive. The difficulty of exam level is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum are updated bi-annually, which is a great thing as it keeps the subjects relevant to the industry standards. The semesters can become quite hectic after the first internals as each subjects have 2 components. The timing to submit both is close.

Life at IITPKD

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
