The Information Technology (IT) course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, aligning well with industry demands. Professors in the IT branch are knowledgeable, supportive, and employ engaging teaching methods. However, there's room for improvement by incorporating emerging technologies like AI and offering more practical sessions and industry internships. Overall, the IT curriculum and teaching methods effectively prepare students for future IT roles.

Internship opportunities at my college, Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, are abundant, with companies like Siemens, Mitsubishi, KUKA, TCS, and others offering roles to second and third-year students. The college strongly supports internships under Skill India, dedicating a separate block for internship activities.

The college's placement scenario can be described as moderately good, with an average package of around 5 lakhs per annum. Placement opportunities typically start from the 7th semester onwards, allowing students ample time to prepare. The campus attracts a variety of well-known companies each year, including Amazon, Google, TCL, and others. While the average package is decent, there's room for improvement to enhance overall placement prospects and package offerings.

The course fees for the Information Technology program at AKGEC amount to approx. INR 1,20,000 per year. The college has a policy of increasing tuition fees annually, typically ranging from 200 to 500 rupees. Considering all compulsory charges, the total cost of education sums up to approximately 6-7 lakhs. AKGEC offers scholarships provided by the government to eligible students.

Campus life at AKGEC is vibrant, with numerous clubs and societies catering to different interests. While the college doesn't host fests, there are ample opportunities for students to participate in various activities, including tech societies and sports teams. Currently, admission requires a JEE exam score, with a minimum requirement of above 90 percentile for computer science and related branches.
