Remarks

Since it is a new campus, there is a lot to improve still such as the general management of the university. The only chaos formed in there. Other than that, the educational facilities are impeccable so is the faculty.

Entrance Preview

I opted for this college because of it's hollistic educational opportunities. It provides an all-round education that truly provides one for a corporate environment. Apart from the main course papers, there are three mandatory course papers every student is required to take which really prepare students for a proper workplace environment.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is extremely thourough. Since I am pursuing English, it contains different countries' literature in English, not only British literature. It also includes liguistic studies and texts in translation thus providing the student with an all-round education of the language. The university also provides three mandatory courses — foreign business language, behavioral science and business communication.

Internships Opportunities

Every odd semester provides the Summer Internship Project paper which is a 100 marks paper focussing on a mandatory internship every student must engage in. It may be arranged by the college or by the student. The stipend depends on the organization, not all places provide with paid internships. The overall experience is quite satisfying as it gives the student a taste of what the workplace environment is like.

Placement Experience

3

The university is famous for its brilliant placement and job opportunities right after graduation, mostly for Masters students. There is a good guarantee of placement. Companies such as Google, Johnson&Johnson, etc. are known to recruit students from here to their companies.

College Events

3

Many events are celebrated in the university may it be cultural or academic or atheletic. There is one big annual atheletic event that is conducted by all the Amity universities all over the country like the Olympics. Other events include dance events, musical events, theatre events, seminars involving eminent figures in academics, business, film, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Compared to other colleges, the fee is relatively expensive. An amount is to be paid every semester, I can only speak of the Bachelor's program; 6 installments in 6 semesters, the fee ranging from Rs 37000 to Rs 52000. The first semester also included a security deposit of Rs 20000.

Fees and Financial Aid

I was a scholarship student for the first year. I was awarded 25% scholarship for the first 2 semesters. Scholarships are granted on the basis of class 12 grades. 85% onwards would grant 25% scholarship, 90% onwards would grant 50% scholarship and so on.

Campus Life

4

The campus is very student-friendly with plenty of free space and greenery. There is quite a balance of both male and female on campus as well as ethnic diversity. There are many clubs such as the music club, dance club, theatre club, film club, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel provides with unlimited WiFi and centralised ac. There's not much I can say about that since I don't avail the hostel facilities. The mess food is very good and homely. It is also very healthy. They provide thalis which are like proper meals for any time of the day made just like a home-cooked meal. They also provide with fresh fruits, smoothies, fresh pressed juices, packaged food as well and also confectionery items such as pastries.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are very keen on helping the juniors with whatever is required by them. They tend to become good friends in a short time.

Exam Structure

There are two divisions for exams for the main course papers — 30 marks and 70 marks. The 30 marks is divided into three parts — 15 marks for a written test, 10 marks for a written assignment or presentation, and 5 marks for attendance. The 70 marks is for the end semester examination. For the mandatory papers the same structure is followed only difference being the division is on 40 and 60 marks.

Admission

I went to the campus the day my ISC results came out to submit my application form in person only to be informed upon arrival by the admission department that my grades make me eligible for direct admission with scholarship for the first year. Thus, I did not have to give an admission exam or interview, I got direct admission with scholarship.

Faculty

5

In my opinion, the faculty of the university are always at the ready to help the students in any intellectual predicament. They are extremely learned and knowledgeable scholars themselves making them more than fit to teach us and impart their knowledge on the students.

I want to know bengali literature and all type of poems and proses that's why I choose B.a. in bengali literature. According to me, my course helps me in doing Masters in Bengali. From the point of view of improvements, I feel that digital classes can be conducted in the class by leaving the theory classes. Mere collage The exam level is basically hard and exams are conducted twice a year.

I have always wanted to persue English as a career. I love studying English but not a big fan of the new curriculum by NEP that includes a lot pf irrelevant papers. The semesters are not consistent. Odd semesters usually have a lot of time like 6-8 months but even semesters barely consist of 2-3 months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.
