Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is pretty good but it is also very hectic for information technology students as every course has a course project, doing 4 projects in SEM very hectic. There won't be any scope for the students to do on his own rather they take it from the internet and learn it and present it. The courses are pretty good offered by the college. The areas of improvement as per my opinion is to remove unnecessary projects for few courses and teaching methods are already very good very interactive professors. The courses are pretty good offered by the college. The areas of improvement as per my opinion is to remove unnecessary projects for few courses and teaching methods are already very good. Very interactive professors. The frequency of exams is once in two months ie, mid semester and in semester exams, if you study well and understand the concept there moderate exams.

Placement Experience

3

the campus placements are pretty good every year even before our seniors were placed very good but the campus placement. This year is not that great maybe due to recession the students from seven semester and eight semester all eligible for campus placements. In BTech. Many MNCs have visited our college and many people were offered pretty good package from these companies. The highest package is around some 50 lakhs and the average is pretty low this year. I don't have any idea about the percentage of students got placed nearly around 65 to 70. My plans after getting a degree is I am moving abroad for Masters

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is divided into two parts for each semester one it is hostel fees and other it is tuition fees. Tuition fees is around 76,000 and hostel fees is around 30,000 nearly as I was not applicable for any scholarship and financial assistance. I don't have any knowledge about the campus employment opportunities as I was not applicable for any of them because I was selected in open category.

Campus Life

3

The campus life is okay but not that great because the environment here is not that great because the college is beside beach have a very high humidity and also only a one Man fest is celebrated properly which is incident and the remaining fests hi celebrated okay. The range and accessibility of books and journals available in the library is pretty good because through our campus Wi-Fi we can download most of the springer generals also. The facilities and technology provisions within the campus is also pretty good because for every bench we have a charging pod. We have a projector in a class and also Wi-Fi is also provided for every class and overview of sports and extracurricular activities in the campus is also pretty good. Volleyball court is available in basketball tennis, badminton Court, kabaddi court order available.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facility is okay because we doesn't have air conditioner here. I would be happy if they had kept air conditioner and had some little more face. I would be okay with it because I was not used to live in our climate which has high humidity. it's very hard for 3rd years and fourth years they provide single rooms but for first year and second, as they provide a combined a room of two or three people. The mail quality is not that great because they give it to Katta rings but most of the catering side from Karnataka only but the students are from very wide places in India. The specialties cannot be cooked in the mess as I was staying in our college hostel. I don't know any locality or rented room or PG

Admission

the admission process was held online in JoSAA. The eligibility of the information technology course for open category students was a rank around 3000 and below in 2020. All the application form fees and details were provided by JOSAA. I am a student from open category. I don't have any reservation, benefits the frequency and timing of exams or nearly once in two months that is midsem and endsem. Though the difficulty level depends on the student obviously it would be tough because it's a national Institute of technology. Areas of improvement in the admission process for more communication with the student and response to the student from the college should be improved.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Some standard food related companies are visited nestle, ITC mysore , sulawines and some other companies also. The CGPA of the students is 7.5 or more is good below this also get selected but more than 7.5 is good. My plan is after completion of course then do work and get some experience in the industries and some of the time I am going to select a product and launch it over the world.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
