I was intrested in this field only and it was the one of the best university in my state so I choose thisbonly It prepares you very well for outside world Teching methods can be improved by keeping a meeting of students and teachers to discuss the issues Exams are not that hard if you have studied in class you can pass easily They take exams 3 times in a semester

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 800000 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placements from 7th sem Srm and lnt visited smvdu for placements Highest package in civil was 700000 and lnt offered that Avg cgpa eligible for placements was 6 I will pursue higher studies or will study for govt jobs

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees is 66000 per sem and annual fees 17000 and there is no much risk Complete cost is 780000 and can take miscellaneous to 800000 Smvdu provides scholarship to top 5 students in each batch And students from jee above 7.5 cgpa can get scolarships

We have two feet resurgence and titiksha one is annual and one is sports they are very enjoyable and you can participate to learn more skills Vide range of books are available in library from the course to fiction library is fully AC and reading section is open 24/7 Class rooms are fitted with smartclass and well ventilated We have 2-3 basket ball courts football cricket ground volleyball court and lawn tennis There are many clubs like art club dance club music club

You can be selected by the smvduee or jeenmains score through josaab You can find application form online or after josaaband fees is nominal and opens at the time of jee counselling Same benifits as of any other engineering college Exams are easy in smvduee but jee is same for all It can be approved in terms of website and easy verifications

In case placement they tries give opportunities but didn't succeeded to much well. As 9.5 lpa is highest package by B.Tech CSE on campus but off-campus doing well as B.Tech CSE got 2 time 36 lpa as highest

Good things is that they offer minor courses for us where we can choose extra courses which we may find interesting and yaa not only that interdepartment projects can also be chosen which is very strange but don't seems relevant.curriculum earlier they were following of iit Delhi and new curriculum is not very exact and relevant because sometimes there are some unnecessary courses and no point of learning that course which forcefully imposed on us to take this course as it comes under institute department courses and are mandatory which is not so good

I think the students become eligible for placements after 6 th semester, if you are from CS / IT then you'll get enough opportunities for yourself... I know 8-9 seniors who have grabbed a pretty decent package from companies like Oracle If somehow you fail to get recruited on campus then i guess the off campus option is open for all I am pretty satisfied with the placement record atleast for IT The percentage placement for this year CSE was 51 considering recession part this seems good to me

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students.
