Likes

It has high placement percentage (80%).If you study here it is likely to get a good placement.
The campus of this college is soo big and very beautiful.
Along with academics there are many fest and events held here.

Dislikes

The worst thing i found in this college is the mess food
The hostel rooms are very congested .In one rooms only one table can have for two people.

Course Curriculum Overview

In Mathematics and computing departments,there are two or three courses of maths every semester .Some fundamental and finances are taught during second and third years.All the courses are same with the students of computer science departments.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For General and OBC category students it is approximately 1,50,000 per semester inclu Everythings.But if they have less family income ,their tution fees is not required only the mess and hoste fees is required.

Campus Life

There are Inter-IIT meets every where students can participate in sports etc.There are many festivals held here every year.Some are Alcheringa annual cultural festival held in February or March each year.

Admission

The admission process to IIT Guwahati for Btech courses involves applying through official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) for JEE mains and jee advanced exams.As an ST category students ,secured admission With ST Rank 105 in jee advanced.

A calm and disciplined campus life at JIST

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

NIT Silchar Review: Campus, Career and Career Prospects

Placement Experience:

NIT Silchar has decent placement stat. Approx 75 percent student got placement from campus and they got decent package. In NIT Silchar from 7th semester students are eligible for placement and company comes whole year for recruiting. Approx 100 company visit the college throughout the year. In tech Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart and more companies come. For core L&T, Adani, Tata Steel and more companies come. For service base Infosys, TCS, Wipro will come and give good offer. Highest package will come from tech company and that is 52lpa and average from all companies will lie from 10 to 12 lpa . My plans is that in my 4th year atleast I will get one job. If I don't get job then I will try from off campus or giving paper for government job

Haah here the faculty are splendid since they are all alumini of iit or nits . And we get college mail.in this mail will get notification about classes and more activities like hackathon or some technical events.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

The placement of Assam engineering College is average as compared to the other colleges like iit and not. Aec gives placement around 20-24 lakhs and many company parts in the placement cell and many of the students get their dream job

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

Well, the first thing is that they dont mandate the JEE certification or anything, any student from any state country can apply to this course, secondly they have the flexibility of letting us choose whatever how many subjects we want in that particular trimester depending on the burden we have in our other degree or job...Read More

Detailed and Unbiased Review

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level. Admission Process: Involves early payments of fees before arrival to the Campus.
