What Students Say
Likes
- My favourite thing about the college is the crowd
- The faculty is fairly young so it’s easier to connect with some of the teachers
- The college is located right in the middle of the city, so access to the college is very easy
Dislikes
- The campus is very small and claustrophobic
- The principal is an idiot and tries to take credit for the students work
- The rich kids are the most annoying and are very judgemental people
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is fairly easy and relevant to current time. The teachers really make an effort to adapt to the current changes and make materials for us to study easily. I don't think the curriculum prepares us for the real world, it's just a formality in my opinion. The exam frequency is good and I have nothing to say about it
Fees and Financial Aid
I think the fees of my college is genuinely cheaper than the other college. I'm not saying that it's cheap, but it's definitely cheaper in comparison. Of course there are people who will struggle to pay the fees, so the college has done a good job in making sure that the family can pay the fees within 7 to 8 months
Campus Life
I think my campus itself is a bit of a letdown, but the crowd is what makes sjcc one of the top colleges of Bengaluru. Everyone in the college makes an effort to socialise and this makes sjcc a social hub for students. Clubs and associations participate all over the city and raise the name of sjcc even higher than it already is There are a lot of chaps in the college, but that's just on downside of the college
Admission
The admission process was pretty tricky due to the number of people that applied. My course(BBA) had an entrance exam which quite a lot of people wrote, and those who cleared the exam had to go for the second round which was a group discussion round, and whoever cleared the group discussion round had a undergo an interview. The process of application was fairly easy. All I had to do was go onto the SJCC website and apply for whatever course I was choosing. The exams were fairly easy in my opinion because it wasn't really a skill based exam, it was just a simple aptitude test. One problem I had was that the college was very slow in informing whether I had cleared the exam round or not. I only received the information when it was 1 30 in the night. So I think the college could use the time more efficiently
