Likes

Campus life: there's a lot to do here if you're willing to explore!
Friends: Even though it's hard to make friends if you're from South India, once you find a good friend group, it's for life!
Library: there's a ton of books if you're a bookworm!

Dislikes

Food: very bad and dry food without much variety.
Hostel: very bad rooms and it's not spacious.
Teachers: they don't know how to teach. They're not meant for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course was related to both cs and ece which could possibly help us in getting a technical core job or a software job. This course is specialized to help us in learning real world applications of smart devices and sensors. We have 3 exams in each semester so a total of 6 per year, out of which 2 are the big exams (endsems).

Placement Experience

This year placements have been really bad to be honest. IT (information technology) got 40% placed on campus. CSE (computer science and engineering) got 30% placed and ECE (electronics and communication engineering) got 23% placed and these are considered the top branches!

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for taking up this course is around 10lakh rupees for four years including hostel and all other costs. Scholarships and price consideration is taken care of if the student has an ews or obcncl category.

Campus Life

The campus life in this college is pretty amazing to be honest. The campus is very beautiful with nature all around us! We've also got a swimming pool and other sports facilities which very few nits provide. There are many many student run clubs I'd run out of space if I had to talk about all of them haha.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are of very poor quality, especially my hostel where we've got to share a cupboard. The toilets are very bad as well, taking a look at pictures online would give you an idea. The mess food is very bad again. No nonveg and there's Paratha every morning, so if you're from South India this is a heads up!

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

We've got to write the jee mains (joint entrance exam) which is an exam conducted in a national scale for easier application into government engineering colleges, which are considered very prestigious in India.

Very crowded and management and payment quota are available too which reduces the quality of students.

A walk through Nit kurukshetra

I choose this college cause, I am interested in this branch and I don't have any prior interest in any particular colleges, in this college I am getting the particular branch I am interested in,while there are few colleges which are providing me same branch but they have some limitations like there infrastructure is bad or crowd is not that wonderful like here people are generous and motivated you can't find the same everywhere. Good college for electrical

The admission is only based on JEE Mains Rank. This is a decent college and thus requires decent ranks for good courses. JEE is conducted nationwide by the NTA every year. The process was smooth. You have to first select colleges. You get an allotment and then you verify the docs....Read More
