Engineering prepares a graduate for any real world problems that need critical thinking, design thinking, creativity,etc. Engineering in IT helps the graduate increase his skill set in technical fields.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees per annum was around 20k for me as i belong to general category.Based on categories fee relaxation can be availed.Also every student can apply for scholarship which further reduces the fees per annum.

Campus Life

Campus provides a well maintained infrastructure with various clubs suitable to a candidate's needs like IEEE and ISTE student branches,sports and arts club etc. Annual competitions are held on different areas.

Admission

To enroll in B.Tech, all students has to pass the KEAM test, which was mandatory for admission in Engineering college in Kerala.Based on each section different cutoff were given.If your rank comes under cutoff ranks published by college then u can secure your admission in that college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement after their 6th semester. Companies such as Tata ,TCS , ola , ather, ISRO visited our college for campus placement The average package offerdies 3 or 4 lakh per annum. The highest package at offer the tower college way up to 30 lakhs per annum If you are willing to sit for the placements many of the students could easily get placement about 80% My plans after getting degree is either doing some job and gaining some work experience for planning to go for higher studies

So when we consider curriculum, I was in 2015 KTU curriculum and it was not that much updated with current technology. But after there was 2019 KTU curriculum which is more adapted with current technology are better. So curriculum not only will help us to obtain real life experience, so they will need us to complete extra curricular activities which is need 100 points mandatory for course completion is there , so considering that it is a good thing. You need to do intership, courses etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to really enhance my programming skills due to which I planned to enrol for this course. The curriculum does not manage to prepare you for real world applications as most of the time they include just the most basic of examples. I wish they would take some input from students too in the curriculum creation. The internals are conducted twice in a semester along with an end semester exam. The exams are usually easy to moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

From S6 onwards students will be able to sit in placements drive. In my college the placement is just OK. Many companies visited and above 100 offers were made. Highest package was of 14 Lakh per annum, average package is about 4-5 lakh per annum. Students placed are above 50% in CS and IT department. I plan for both work and higher studies
