My thoughts about my College

Course has all the aspects and subjects necessary for coding and DSA. I always had interest in coding so I chose this course. This curriculum consists of all the necessary subjects from basic to advanced. It has no flaws. The duration of mid sem exams is 1 hour and semester end exam is 3 hours. These subjects prepare us well to become great software engineer.

There is a placement crew named abhudhyay which provides internship and placement opportunities. Companies like Infosys, tcs are linked with our college to provide internship and certification courses. Projects like surveys, coding, building machines,etc helps us to get more activity points and helps in placement opportunities.

Placenent record in nitte is outstanding for IT courses and average for non it courses. Students are eligible for campus placement at 4th year of their course. Companies like Amazon, Cadence,Accenture, Infosys, TCS,Bosch come for recruitment. Highest package is 53.6 lpa and average package is around 4-5 lpa. Placement rate in nitte is around 95 percent. My plans after my course is to work in a company for 2 years and then complete M.Tech.

Tuition fee is moderately affordable. It's is increasing every year for IT courses and decreasing for other courses. Our tuition fee is 2,50,000 inr per year with exam fee of 10,000 for four years. There are many scholarships for minority students like NSP and SSP which pays around 40,000 inr. Our campus has an incubation center which provides job opportunities and internships. I have applied to internships related to digital marketing.

The campus life is really good. It has many events like hackathon, cultural events, etc. Our college fest named 'Incridea' is held every year on february and consists of many events and concerts. Our library consists books related to curriculum only, and no novels which is a drawback of the library. But the environment inside it is really good. There are projectors in every classroom and every class is conducted with ppt presentation. Our college has a big ground which is maintained every day. Nitte provides various opportunities for people in sports and our college has won many awards in inter college tournaments. There are many clubs in nitte like Ripple factor crew for dance, Stereo club for music, aeroclub, Kalanjali,etc. It provides opportunities for students interested and provides a stage to exhibit their talents.

We had to write Nitte entrance exam(NUCAT) to get admission. Cutoff was different for different courses. I got 296 rank and got selected ise engineering. Application is available in Nitte's official website apply.nitte.edu.in . The level of exam is moderate and timing is 2 hours. It consisted of both online and offline mode. The only thing I didn't like about that process is that there isn't any value for CET or other state and national entrance tests.
