Likes

I like the library as we can study there
I also liked the canteen the food are affordable
And I also like the ground as we can play there

Dislikes

I did not liked the extra hours of study
I did not liked the attendence problem as we have to go regularly
And I also feel the College is very small and it has very strict discipline

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculem is good the teacher and staff are very supporting.They help us when we get struck in some subject.the campus is very beautiful.The canteen is also decent.The teacher and staff are also good with us.They are very supportive and cooperative

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The course is little expensive but it is affordable.the semester fees is 45,000 and the yearly fees is 90,000.So I think it is affordable but little expensive for those who are coming from little weak financial background

Campus Life

The College is good and the campus is beautiful.ghe teacher are cooperative and they help us to understand to topic very well.they are very cooperative as well as supportive.the campus is very good and the environment is study friendly

Admission

I study in st.thomas college of engineering and technology in kolkata.I belong to isc board and I have given wbjee exam and I got 10k rank.so i got admitted in this college.The college is very decent .If you want to get in this college you have to give wbjee exam and if you want CSE in this college then you have to aim to get 10k rank

Reality of IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.

See,I didn't get good percentile in jee advance and so I choose to give wbjee exam to get a seat in engineering colleges and I got a rank of almost 17k where I got cse department in 2nd phase of wbjee counciling.I choose St Thomas College of Engineering and Technology because the fees is very low compare to other colleges as I don't get jadavpur university or any other top in that rank and I am very happy from my decision because of you need a college that gives placement and fees is not too high .This college is best for that....Read More
