Sociology as a subject always attracted me and I wanted to take up sociology for my higher studies since school.The curriculum teaches us to be knowledgeable about society and how to combat the evil forces which makes our society full of people with ill mindsets.My professors are amazing and knows how to make the subject more interesting.The semester exams is quite tough because we have to score good in mid sems otherwise our CGPA falls down

Our tution fee is very low and as it is Government funded college ,the funds are huge in number and our University uses it in the welfare of the students .Financial aids are available for PWD students. Statistics department and geology department provides job opportunities but I feel the University should also take initiatives for the other department 's placement cell

Ispat and Icon are the fests that are held every year and Milieu happens in every two year.Our Library is considered as the 2nd largest Library in kolkata and we can get access to any kind of journals .PUCL (PRESIDENCY UNIVERSITY CRICKET LEAGUE) is the biggest cricket tournament held every year and PRESIDENCY UNIVERSITY ATHLETE MEET happens in the month of March .PUDF(PRESIDENCY UNIVERSITY DANCE FORUM )is the club I am in and there are many other clubs Students can join

it was a tough process because it was online but once I started filling it up it got easier and I got to know that I have to crack an entrance test for getting into Presidency University. The last rank who was selected for the course was 88 and my west bengal rank was 82 and I got into my dream university at ease
