Course Curriculum covers a diverse range of subject from structure engineering to transport engineering from fluid mechaics to tunnel engineering. practical application emphasized through hands-on-projects, lab courses, DIP project and B.Tech project. Curriculam encourages reserch and innovation and provides funding if you have a good Start-Up idea. Area for improvement includes better sports facilities and more power to student body. Exams are held usually 4 time during a semester (class test-1, Mid-Semester, Class test-2 , End-Semester resepectively.) but it can vary professor to professor.

We are Offered many internship opportunities from other IITs as well as Industeries stipend - 10,000-15,000 INR (performence and institute based) we are also offered interenships from compnies Stipend -10,000 - 1,50,000

we are eligible to sit in campus placements from 7th semester till the completion of degree(8th sem) significant no of companies visited but mostly the recruitment process was done online a very few of them had oncampus interviews. a few MNCs , multiple stratups and about 100-120 compnies listed for this year's recruitment. Due to recession this year's placement is not as much as the last year. year 2024 passing Batch Highest Packege - 55 Lac

Campus life at IIT Jammu offers vibrant social atmosphere and many extracurricular opportuities and great infrasture. Newly built academic block is magnificent and new hosals having individual room to per student with free lan and wi-fi (amount covered in hostal fee) along with AC in each room. The landscape of jammu is also astonishing and we have devio pindi trek and vaishodevi mata mandir at very close distance from our campus. Also Patnitop hillstaion is very good place to visit during weekends. we used to have 2 fests - techincal(technetus) and cultural(renao) but this year we had a combind technocultural event named ANHAD sponsored by Arista. High end tech loaded labs but the improving point is library - very limited amount of books with 10 people sitting area in current campus but we have a online library which is pretty vast.

In B.Tech program we are not allowed to rent a room or PG outside of campus we must reside in the hostals provide by college authorities.

The Admission process for the IIT is quite rigorous and competitive. i would like to break down this process: 1. Eligibiltiy of the course : 12th Standard passed with physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory courses. One should also qualify a national level exam as JEE Main and JEE ADVANCED 2. Application Process : Go to NTA (National Testing Agency) and fill out the form for JEE Main if cleared Go and fill the application form for JEE ADVANCED and pay the application fee seperately for both exams 3. Application Fees : It varies based on one's Category (General , General EWS, OBC, SC, ST, etc..) . Fee Ranges between a few hundred to a couple thousand INR 4. Reservation Benefits : Indian government provides significant reservation benifits for the candidates belongng to SC ,ST and a minimal reservation benifit for OBC and General EWS 5. Freqency and Timing of Exams : JEE Main is conducted Twice a year.(January & April). JEE ADVANCED is conducted once a year in May
