Course Curriculum Overview

The courses we had in first sem are as follows: 1. Business Communication - well-structured and open-ended course 2. Managerial Economics - Taught by Japanese Professor 3. Ethics and Value based leadership - Well- experiences professor with 30+ years of exp 4. Statistics for Management - Too much Mathematical but great prof 5. Organization Theory - Taught by former leader of NPCL 6. QMM - Not so good teaching methodology and faculty 7. Management Accounting - The faculty runs like anything. We have quizzes in every class about what was taught in previous class. Poor teaching methods 8. Marketing Management - Best Prof with so much experience 9. Business Research Methos - Too muh logical. Practical application focused subject. Great Prof

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 560000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

IIT Delhi is known for ROI i.e. Return on Investment. The fees for 2 years of MBA is 11.2 Lakhs. Scholarship is given to toppers of the semester. Fee waivers are there and all the fees amount is reimbursed if you top the batch. Financial assistance and loan is given out to students who can't afford to pay the fees.

Campus Life

My overall experience in campus has been great so far. Except from the fact that boys didn't get any hostel accomodation in the first semester. However, we have been allocated to hostels now in the second semester. Hostel facility not available for boys iun first sem and only available for girls because of large number of boys getting admissions into Btech and first preference of hostel is given to them. Hauz Khas is a hub of social life and night clubs and great food and what not. I am having great experience so far in Hauz Khas in IIT Delhi. Additionally, Bill Gates recently visited our college and we got a privilege to have an interaction with him. I don't regret my decision even once of choosing IIT Delhi over Baby and New IIMs. There is a plethora of opportunities which we get here.

Admission

The admission process was pretty smooth. After the verification process, we were called for personal interview round. Cutoff was 93+ percentile last year when I applied. Application forms are open in the month of February. Application fees was INR 1000 only. CAT Exam is the eligibility criteria for getting shortlisted for MBA course at DMS, IIT Delhi

The Real Unbiased Truth of JIMS Kalkaji

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are average when compared with other B-schools of similar level. The companies which have visited so far for internships are mostly start ups like Wealth Blue and Outlook, but some other companies like ITC, Bajaj Capital and Coca Cola moon beverages have also come on campus. The highest stipend promised so far is 15,000 for 3 months or 10,000 per month for 2 months. A lot of students are yet to be placed, both for final and summer placements. My plan is also to get a job post my PGDM.

Placement Experience:

Compass provide a place the highest package our were born is 20 lakhs per annum from the Fite department and the average placement gets around 8 to 10 laks and the minimal is7-8 lakhs. The placement is good in sales and finance department. Most of the companies comes for sales and Management. You can also offer for the finance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is mostly aligned towards Economics but you don't need to have prior experience in the field, you can start afresh and still excel. I picked this course specifically for the Analytics part of it.

Good opportunity in JIMS

Placement Experience:

From 4th trimester onwards that if from August onwards after coming back from 3 months summer internships, companies come for placements and students can apply to the companies. The companies that visited campus are DELOITTE, KPMG, ACCENTURE,TCS, RANDSTAD,ICICI,SBI, MOTILAL OSWAL, BAJAJ, ASIAN PAINTS, ADITYA BIRLA, BLACKROCK, GRIDLINES etc. and many more. The highest package of our batch went for 24 lakhs( Oman based company) , average went around- 7-8 lakhs , lowest - 4.5-5 lakhs. Profiles offered- Sales head, operational manager, Deputy branch manager, Junior Analyst, Analyst, HR - talent acquisition team , underwriting team etc. Right now more than 80% of students have gotten placed and rest are in the placement process which will be till April. I have been placed in ICICI LOMBARD for Underwriting and Claims process and will be joining the company soon.

Summary of IIT-D

I applied in many colleges like SIT, VIT, BITS Pilani, Different branches of IIT, NITS. I had no thoughts of joing this college specifically. I chose the best one comparing with other colleges. M.Tech CSE IIT DELHI Review

I chose IIT Delhi because it has the best faculties and a strong alumni network. Besides this the research aspects here are better than other colleges. I had applied to IIT bombay, IIT Jodhpur, IIT madras and IIT kanpur but I got offer for IIT Delhi before all the other colleges.
